I just got asked to market a Teen Alien podcast. It's won awards in the US and other countries but the problem is that I'm still skeptical about the existence of Aliens to take up this project! Is there anyone here who can tell me why they believe in them?

Okay, folks, let’s get into it—because I’m tired of every thread on alien abductions devolving into people just shrugging it off as “sleep paralysis” or “psychological delusions.” Look, I get it. Skepticism is healthy, and we should definitely consider psychological explanations first. But the problem is, they don’t cover everything. Not even close. And trying to shove every abduction story into the same “It’s all in your head” box is like using a kiddie Band-Aid to cover a gaping chest wound. It’s just not gonna work. Let’s think outside the DSM-5 for a second:

Why the hell do so many people around the world, across decades, and from wildly different backgrounds, describe such eerily similar abduction experiences? We’re talking about the same small, big-eyed, grey-skinned beings, the same sterile, metallic environments, and the same bizarre medical procedures. If these are just hallucinations or sleep paralysis, why aren’t people reporting different things? More variety? We’re not seeing a hodgepodge of random dream imagery here—they’re talking about the same encounter.

And yeah, I hear the “cultural influence” argument—people supposedly all absorbed the same UFO lore from movies and books. But the iconic Grey alien didn’t become mainstream until after the 1970s! Before that, nothing. So where were people pulling these abduction stories before Hollywood decided aliens should look like the creepy lovechild of Casper and an overgrown insect?

Skeptics love to dismiss adults as being delusional or suggestible, but how do you explain kids reporting abductions? Young children, often with no prior exposure to UFO narratives, describe similar encounters with strange beings and phenomena. These aren’t stories they’re picking up from the latest sci-fi blockbuster or late-night TV special—they’re experiencing something they don’t have the vocabulary or context to understand, yet they end up telling these freakishly similar stories.

And no, it’s not just them repeating things they overheard or saw in passing. We’re talking about detailed descriptions, sometimes even drawing pictures of the same kind of entities that adults are describing. Are we supposed to believe these kids are somehow predisposed to hallucinate identical space critters?

Oh, I know what you’re gonna say: “But where’s the evidence?” Well, how about unexplained scars and marks showing up on parts of the body people can’t easily reach? What about strange, metallic objects found in people’s bodies that have no entry wounds or history of trauma? Skeptics argue that these are just mundane injuries people noticed later or foreign objects they never realized were there, but how does that explain the timing? Abductees aren’t saying, “Hey, I just noticed this random scar”—they’re saying, “I got taken last night, woke up, and this was there.”

And what’s up with the missing time phenomenon? People report losing hours and sometimes days with no memory of what happened. And it’s not just them—multiple witnesses, sometimes in different locations, have reported the same gap in time perception. If it’s all a hallucination, how is everyone hallucinating the same loss of time? You can’t just wave that away with “Well, they were tired.”

Skeptics love to lean on sleep paralysis, but that explanation goes out the window when people report being taken while they’re awake. Daylight abductions, encounters while driving, or even during a walk in the park. They’re not dreaming or stuck in bed—these are people who were fully awake, doing normal stuff, when they suddenly had an encounter. And if these are just hallucinations, we’re talking about some serious psychotic breaks in people with no other signs of mental illness.

And no, it’s not always “mass hysteria” or “group delusions.” There are cases where people have no prior connection but experience the same phenomenon simultaneously—same descriptions, same loss of time. Are we really gonna chalk that up to some kind of shared, spontaneous psychological event?

Families across generations report being abducted—grandparents, parents, and children all claiming similar experiences with the same types of beings. If it’s psychological, does that mean there’s a hereditary predisposition to hallucinate specific aliens? Because that’s one hell of a weird genetic trait. Are these people just passing down bedtime stories that get misremembered as real events? Or is it possible that whatever this is, it’s targeting families for reasons we don’t understand?

TL;DR: The Psychological Argument Doesn’t Cover All the Bases Look, I’m not saying there’s an intergalactic research program on human reproductive biology (okay, maybe I’m saying that a little), but I am saying the skeptic’s toolbox just doesn’t cut it when it comes to explaining all the nuances of this phenomenon. Sure, sleep paralysis, false memories, and psychological suggestions are factors—but they’re not the whole story.

The point is, there’s more going on here than just overactive imaginations. The skeptic explanations feel more like putting a coat of paint over a cracked wall rather than actually addressing the foundation. So yeah, be skeptical, but don’t oversimplify what’s happening here. We’ve got to think bigger, dig deeper, and stop brushing off weird, compelling experiences just because they don’t fit into what we believe to be possible.

Is it more probable that advanced alien civilizations are aware of Earth than not?

I’ve been thinking about this question for ages: Is it more likely that life far superior to humanity exists and is aware of Earth, given how long we've been giving off biosignatures and, more recently, unnatural technosignatures (like radio waves and pollution?

Life on Earth has been detectable for over 2 billion years thanks to oxygen, methane, and other biosignatures and in the last century or so, we've been beaming radio waves into space and broadcasting a radio wave bubble that could be detected by advanced civilizations who could detect it beyond our understanding. The sheer amount of time Earth has been broadcasting life makes me wonder. If civilizations far more advanced than us are already aware of our planet?

Think about it: If the universe is 13.8 billion years old, it’s entirely possible that civilizations out there are millions or billions of years older than us, giving them a huge head start on us. Maybe they’ve developed technologies far beyond our understanding, allowing them to detect planets like Earth with ease, and from distances unimaginable to us.

There could be planets the size of our entire solar system, with abundant resources that allow them to bypass the issues that hold us back—like greed, war, and cruelty. Without the existential threats we face (like asteroids or the Oort cloud), these civilizations might advance rapidly without the fear of extinction-level events making them more enlightened and void of the concept of evil.

With this in mind, isn’t it possible that some of these civilizations are aware of Earth? Maybe they've been observing us for millennia, maybe they have advanced our species, or perhaps we’re too primitive to warrant their attention. They could even be following some “prime directive” or “zoo hypothesis,” where they intentionally avoid interfering with less advanced species like us.

What do you all think? Is it likely that there are civilizations out there who know about Earth, but choose not to interact? Or is it more plausible that we’re just not interesting enough for them to bother?

I've been having this same type of dream since I was a kid. I'm outside, clear blue skies, minding my own business. And then bam, massive shapes appear in the sky, taking up not just the whole sky but stretching backwards farther than I've ever conceived of something from Earth's surface. And even though my title says "invasion" the dreams never get that far. I just get this overwhelming feeling of dread that everything is over and I'm witnessing the end of humanity. There's no violence, no attacks or explosions and I never see what the invaders look like. But the sight of their giant ships in the sky is enough. I know for sure it's all over, and everything I've ever known is about to be gone, and that's usually how I wake up.

I am not suggesting there is anything particularly unique about this type of dream or that it means anything at all. I think about aliens all day long and that's a natural consequence of my thoughts. And I'm not even very pessimistic about what's actually going on on Earth, I think if the ones who have been here meant us harm, we'd be dead already.

But man... It's a scary dream.

Among the many theories that attempt to explain the UFO and alien abduction phenomenas, the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis (ETH) stands as the most compelling and conclusive explanation, in my mind. This theory posits that UFO sightings and abductions are the result of physical spacecraft piloted by extraterrestrial beings visiting Earth. While alternative explanations, such as the interdimensional theory, have been put forth, the ETH offers a comprehensive framework for understanding both UFO sightings and alien abductions, including some of the most extraordinary claims - UFO crashes and recovered biological specimens. It is my belief that the ETH fully incapsulates interdimensional explanations and does not need to be separated from the idea of extraterrestrial visitors.

Renowned UFO researcher Jacques Vallee has famously raised several objections to the ETH, arguing that there may be richer alternative explanations for the phenomenon. Vallee’s arguments include the frequency of close encounters, the humanoid form of reported aliens, and the apparent manipulation of space and time by UFOs. While his insights are thought-provoking, the ETH still provides the most complete and satisfying explanation for the evidence at hand, particularly when considering reports of UFO crashes, the alleged recovery of extraterrestrial bodies and the information sometimes provided to alien abductees and possibly the governments of multiple countries.

Vallee's First Objection: The Frequency of Close Encounters

Vallee’s first critique suggests that there are far too many close encounters reported to support the idea that extraterrestrials are simply conducting a survey of Earth. If these beings are visiting for research, why would so many encounters take place over such a prolonged period? This argument overlooks the possibility that extraterrestrial interactions with Earth go beyond mere observation. Many reports of UFO sightings and alien abductions point to ongoing engagements, not just fleeting visits. Encounters like those involving the Grey aliens suggest that extraterrestrials may be conducting long-term genetic programs or manipulating human evolution - another possibility that Vallee actively denies, despite the fact that many abductees and experiencers have reported, independently, that hybrid children are being created. The fact that abductees often report multiple experiences over time could indicate that extraterrestrials are closely monitoring specific individuals or genetic lines for as yet undetermined reasoning.

Scientifically, in order for the Greys to combine their genetic material with human beings, it is likely that their DNA would need to be similar enough to ours in order for it to be possible to create hybrid offspring. This leads me to believe that, clearly, they are biological beings that have evolved organically, on a planet similar to Earth. The theory that the Greys are time-traveling humans that have evolved past our current point could still be a possibility, but I believe it is far more likely that the Greys hail from a planet of their own.

Additionally, we must consider the numerous accounts of UFO crashes, such as Roswell, Varghina and others. Eyewitnesses and military personnel have claimed that NHI biological specimens were recovered from these crash sites, supporting the ETH’s claim that these beings are physically visiting Earth. These crashes could either be accidental, caused by humans or part of a deliberate plan by the extraterrestrials to reveal themselves to humanity, or to manipulate our understanding of them.

Rather than suggesting that the ETH is implausible, the high frequency of encounters, coupled with reports of UFO crashes, strengthens the idea that extraterrestrial involvement with Earth is ongoing and multifaceted.

Vallee's Second Objection: The Humanoid Form of Aliens

Vallee’s second objection focuses on the humanoid form of the reported extraterrestrials, particularly the Greys, arguing that this body type is unlikely to have evolved independently on another planet and is not suited for space travel. He asserts that this form suggests something other than biological entities from a distant planet.

While Vallee’s argument is compelling on the surface, it fails to consider several scientific points. The humanoid form is incredibly likely to be the most successful evolutionary path for a species that has the ability to create technology and advance beyond animal-status. Standing upright, with two legs and two arms with appendages that provide the ability to manipulate tools and machinery makes complete logical sense for an E.T. species, and there is no reason to believe that this form could not evolve organically on another planet. The Greys are described as having abnormally large heads that are more than likely housing a complex brain structure similar to a human being. I do not believe that there is anything within the scientific notions of evolutionary biology that discount the possibility that a species such as this could not, or are not as likely, to evolve in another star system.

Additionally, the ETH allows for the possibility that advanced extraterrestrial species have the technological capability to traverse space-time in ways that are beyond our current understanding, eliminating the biological challenges we associate with space travel. Thus, Vallee’s argument that these beings are not biologically suited for space travel becomes less relevant when we consider the advanced technology likely at their disposal.

Regardless of that, though, the Greys do seemingly display attributes of dysfunction due to prolonged exposure to space environments such as low muscle mass and possible issues with their eyes - similar effects reported in human astronauts. It could also stand to reason that the apparent genetic problems the Greys may be facing, resulting in the pursuit of hybrid offspring, could be due to the downsides of space travel - possibly because of the ambient radiation they would be exposed to.

I often find myself wondering if the Grey's eyes are not actually black and that the black often reported within the eyes are a covering or protection mechanism. In the case of the Varghina, Brazil crash and recovery, the E.T.s eyes were described as nearly blood red, with no visible pupil or iris. The young girls who witnessed the creature described that the alien appeared to be suffering, which could have been due to being exposed to our atmosphere without any protection for their poorly eyes or the rest of their bodies. It has been reported in some abduction accounts, namely Betty Andreasson, that the Greys routinely receive surgeries on their eyes, with the possibility that the harvesting of human eyes could be happening in order to aid the deterioration of their eyesight. The Varghina being was reported to have brown, oily skin that gave off a foul smell and residue. This has led me to also think that the Grey skin could be some kind of covering developed to protect their skin that may also be deteriorating.

It is also a possibility that the lowered or eliminated eyesight of the Greys could have contributed to their development of telepathic and psychic abilities, as losing one sense tends to heighten another. It could be possible that the Greys have diminished hearing capabilities that have contributed to the heightening of their psi abilities. It has been observed in human astronauts that hearing can become progressively worse with the lengthening of exposure to the environment of space. It is entirely possible that they lost the ability to hear and speak long ago, opting for telepathic communication in its place. The size of their brain could also indicate a rapid transformation as the species was exposed to space travel for so many generations, causing their brain capacity to be the most needed resource to continue advancing.

Vallee's Third Objection: Alien Behavior in Abduction Reports

Vallee's third point questions the nature of alien abductions, arguing that the repetitive procedures reported by abductees seem inconsistent with advanced scientific or genetic experimentation. Why would extraterrestrials need to abduct humans repeatedly if they were conducting genetic studies? This objection overlooks the possibility of a long-term genetic program, which could involve ongoing monitoring, manipulation, and experimentation over many generations. Abductees often report interactions with hybrid beings - part human, part extraterrestrial - suggesting that these beings may be conducting a slow, methodical process of genetic integration or manipulation.

I would also put forth the idea that their experiments and attempts in regards to hybrid children have been, largely, riddled with mistakes and failures. Often in abduction reports where hybrid children are said to be observed, they are described as sickly, strange-looking and in need of human stimulation that the Greys cannot provide. Many people have reported being introduced to their hybrid offspring and asked to interact with the child. This raises the possibility that the human connection is being lost in the creation of these children, and they are suffering because of it. It could also be that the mix of genetic material isn't a gre...

I recently watched and enjoyed the film 'Nope'.

What was going on with the angry chimp and the gravity defying shoe. Im not sure how it related to the rest of the film.

Is there some lore in this community about that?

Thanks.

Not serious post, feel free to roast.

A missing time experience near Joshua Tree was part of series of missing time events occurring across the CE-5 network in 1993.

What if both missing time and the implantation of false memories are mechanisms of contact with UAP intelligences? Could some “abductions” be the result of memory implants? I reexamine a missing time experience that I had with another volunteer contact worker. He was what I call a “Prime Contactee.” I coined this term to describe a group of contact experiencers that work like “human UFO magnets.” They have the surprising ability to request a sighting when others are present and UFOs show up, thus verifying their special relationship with UAP intelligences. Having such an individual on a contact team facilitates what I call Human Initiated Contact Events (HICE) aka CE5s.

In the fall and winter of 1993 a series of missing time events occurred across the entire CE5 network in the Western USA. Following my missing time experience I recalled a field investigation that never happened. I suggest the possibility that UAP intelligences cannot only create “screen memories, but perhaps entire “abduction scenarios” are memory implants.

So there we discovered something new in 2024!! An entire new type of lifeform is found , bacteria merged with algae and it created Nitroplast which takes nitrogen and converts it into ammonia, plants and alage need ammonia and they depend on bacteria for that, now this is like single cell version of Nitroplast, imagine a whole creature/animal evolved from Nitroplast(it will most likely take billions of years to evolve).

The supposed creature would intake nitrogen (and also oxygen/carbon dioxide optionally ), ofcourse if it creates ammonia inside of it, it's going smell bad, what if the aliens are not mammals or reptilians as we think?

What if aliens are evolved plants(doesn't sound impossible anymore), could it be reason that they show abductees and people who encounter them to be kind to earth and take care of our environment? It can also answer why they experiment us and animals, maybe they are completely different life form than us, and our bodies fascinate them to do research, who knows?

Discovery of Nitroplast gives us an idea that how much different lifeform can evolve and in how many different kind it can evolve, we have no idea how different kind of organisms may inhabited in this vast universe, it opens up to many possibilities!

Edit: evolving from plant can also explain why they are not afraid of dying, they may also lack survival instinct

Just watched the Ross Coulthart show with the folks who have the Nightcrawler research vehicle. The Nightcrawler researchers mention often IR in capturing UAP not visible to the human eye.

Can people here share, suggest or recommend some basic equipment for UAP observation for a beginner? I'm interested in tech that doesn't break the bank and have no idea where to start. Thanks Reddit!

Hey everyone, I’m curious if anyone is aware of any “lore or data” involving grays/shadow people that the arms hang limply to the side. Almost as if there is no bone structure.

I’ve been looking and I see that supposedly inhuman arms are sometimes associated with encounters. Though they tend to talk about long and odd proportions. I’m specifically looking for info on noodle arms for a lack of a better term.

It occurred to me the other day that we necessarily make a lot of assumptions in our attempts to look for signs of intelligent alien life, one being that they perceive and interact with time in ways similar to our own species. What if they live a thousand years and speak very slowly? So slowly that whatever signals they might be broadcasting into the impossibly vast reaches of space might seem like unpatterned blips of noise. Or the opposite: they live radically brief lives and operate at incredible speeds, concentrating their complexity into something completely inexplicable to us. That's just scratching the surface of all the ways we'd be likely to miss one another even if both species were looking and relatively close. Unless we turn up some microorganism on a Jovian moon we'll never encounter an alien at all--let alone an intelligent species, because "intelligent" for human beings is synonymous with similarity(maybe for the aliens too). I read a fascinating paper some time ago describing the surprising intelligence of a salticid spider, specifically portia. This arachnophagic spider exhibits forethought and planning in it's attacks and uses a wide variety of tricks and strategies to fool and lure in it's prey--and as I continued to read I realized that what the arachnologists were actually impressed with is this spider's similarity to humans as mobile, sight based predators. The spider's intelligence was similar to our intelligence in a recognizable way and therefore easy to identify and appreciate and understand. An alien species might very well not be. Even if they were close and looking I think we'd miss them. Forget it, I say we engineer extremophile bacteria for different environments and start seeding the solar system and beyond with earth life--the only way we might actually colonize space.
