It's unclear whether the spell Maizuru put on Izutsumi is actually lethal. This World Guide chapter reveals that the spell is called "Ninpo: Babysitter" which suggests a much less ghoulish purpose, and that she in fact developed the spell for keeping track of Shuro when he was a child.

But even then, it simply ended up traumatizing him.

This chapter also features Izu, the day she was brought into the Nakamoto family as a retainer.

I love the little angry face on his boot.

Chilchuck is likely the most competent delver in the group. Not worth much in a fight, but when it comes to getting around in the dungeon, he's got even Senshi beat.

He has a socially complicated past, and has no tolerance for drama because of it. He frequently wishes Laios had better people-skills, but at the same time, Chilchuck has seen other parties fall apart over much, much less than what Laios has led the gang into.

Time to add Anne to the list of top 10 anime betrayals. The show would have definitely taken a turn there if it weren't for some quick thinking by Laios to throw that rope and dive in after Senshi really quickly.

I say that, but the show definitely does take a turn as it goes and I think this level of the dungeon is where that really starts to show itself. There are some serious trials that our group goes through on this floor as they try to make their way deeper into the dungeon. The brief fling with Anne is a trifle by comparison.
