Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive have officially announced the cessation of development for Minecraft Legends, a unique action-strategy spin-off released on Apr. 18, 2023. Despite continuous efforts to address issues and engage the community with updates, Legends failed to captivate players.

New speedrun world records for Java Minecraft don't happen very often nowadays so figured I'd post it for those interested

I made a relatively small fabric pack (about 100 mods, which I think is small by today's standard?). Something that bugs me is that due to mod dependencies, the pack has like 5 or 6 mods just dedicated to configs (Forge Config API Port, YetAnotherConfigLib, Cloth Config, owo lib, etc).

I know why this is the case (relevant xkcd that everyone has probably already seen) but it's annoying nonetheless.

I set kbin.social as my world seed and it started me off in an old growth spruce taiga with a Grove north of spawn. Also the stony shore south of the old growth taiga has an exposed lush caves. And deep dark.

Someone's investigation (and original reddit thread):

Downloaded a few versions of "mystical beasts", extracted them, and ran commands like diff -urN mystical-beasts_Beta_Client_Fabric_1.20.1/ mystical-beasts_Release_Server_Fabric_1.16.5.

They came up... completely identical! Curse disallows uploading jars with the same hash but it looks like each one contains some amount of random crap after the zip footer; always an exact number of kilobytes too (mystical-beasts_Release_Client_Fabric_1.20.1 contains exactly 17 kilobytes of garbage data appended to the file, Server_Fabric_1.16.5 contains exactly 21kb, etc) What's also funny is that the mods.toml - yes, it's actually a Forge mod - contained within all the jars i looked at claims to exclusively support 1.19.4.

The mod itself is an MCreator mod with assorted random shit. There's a dimension but nothing in it afaik. It adds polished_blackstone_brick_wall to minecraft:overworld_carver_replaceables. There's a recipe for crafting iron blocks into rooted dirt. You get an advancement called "Advancemnts" [sic] when you go to a beach. There's a weird "procedure" (mcreator's bizarre programming language) but I don't think anything calls it? It also contains a shitton of ripped assets from minecraft (under assets/examplemod/textures/block/) probably to pad the filesize more.

I took a cursory glance with a decompiler and didn't find anything obviously malicious.

I'm thinking to make one because the food mod requires milk, so I think to make one, but is it possible?

The great thing about minecraft is being able to choose which version to play on. maybe you like 1.20 where they added Camels and bamboo wood, or maybe you prefer 1.19 where servers had more independence. Or maybe you are old school and prefer your poppies being called roses and your spiders not being able to jump two blocks high.

There's this one and [email protected] this one seems to be a smaller one and wouldn't it be good to create communities that run together instead of separate into multiple smaller ones that make no sense and get less traffic?

Original description: Credit to FALLOUTGOD47 on reddit for the tiny house design. I get a lot of ideas from r/GoldenAgeMinecraft. So many great builders there

If this decides to pop-off who are going to be moderators? I have a few things to say about this.

1. We should especially watch the moderators that come over from moderating r/Minecraft if they come over.

2. There is one moderator (in r/Minecraft, still on the team) that should not be allowed to moderate at all because of their actions.

3. If yall need help moderating, I can help. Don’t worry if not, I understand that people shouldn’t just trust anyone on the internet.
