I'll point to this when Conservatives claim that Trump and his toxic cult of personality haven't infiltrated this country. He significantly emboldened vaccine skeptics and gave them a megaphone.
I don't think it's a causal relationship; rather I think they share causes.

Trump however downplayed the relationship saying Freeland is whack and Poilievre isn’t MAGA enough
I didn't say cause either, but strong correlation is good enough for me.
