Still incredibly new to all this, so sorry if this a daft question/ wrong place to put it.

But I came across this prefix you can apply to eg - Lemmy.World: https://old.lemmy.world/. It applies an “Old Reddit” theme to Lemmy. I tried it on a couple of communities, and it seems to work.

Except for Feddit.uk.

Anyone know what’s up with that? Who doesn’t old.feddit.uk work?

(Again - sorry if this is a silly question).

I think the instance needs to have these interfaces installed, I guess feddit.uk doesn't.

We did (see the sidebar) but had to take old.feddit.uk because it was getting hammered by bots. We've improved the security, so it might be we can bring it back. @[email protected] is more knowledgeable about such matters though, so I am tagging them in.

It would probably be fine to bring it back now we IP ban AI scrapers, though I'd want to monitor it for a bit to make sure. I'll spin it back up tomorrow evening as I have time then.

Great, it seems there is demand for it, even if I think it is an eyesore.

Yeah exactly this, I actually went with L.W over F.UK because I want to use the old interface when on a computer
