Yes, please continue to unite Canadians against the conservatives before the election

I really hope that's what this is doing, but honestly I can't tell at this point. Some people are so disconnected from reality they either don't see this news, don't care, or maybe even like it. I have a coworker that called Trump's clown parade of a government "strong" and just yesterday commented on the voter turnout that "I guess people are really fed up with the liberals".

A lot of conservatives i know think trump is right and that Canada is being subsidized by the US. One has even started to claim he will move to the first province that joins the US

I didn't know I had this many walking amongst me. Of the ones I've spoken with they seem to share these values:

They seem to hate that Ontario is forcing "gays" on kids at such a young age. I'm assuming my friend meant teaching about accepting people from different backgrounds, as I don't think sex education applied to the age range he was referring.

They think they're being taxed too highly (that's fine).

They think US Healthcare woes are exaggerated. One said that you don't really pay that fee, it's a different fee and it's not that much. Another said: I don't go to the hospital that often.

They think life will be better in the States with all the untaxed dollars they'll have.

(I will reiterate that these are just the ones that I've spoken with) I'm just wondering why they don't just move there. If you hate being Canadian so much start the process of emigration ...

Not only do working-class Canadians pay less in taxes overall, compared to working-class Americans, but we also pay less on our taxes for our healthcare, and don’t have to pay a single cent on top of that for essential healthcare.

Where it does flip is with the “middle class”, on the upper end of the working class. They do pay more in taxes in Canada, but you’d have to be earning in the top-20% of all adults or families to see that happen. For the average Canadian adult or family, they pay less than their American counterparts.

No we do pay that much. My job apparently pays $9000 a year for me to have health insurance, and I still have to pay $170 a month for it. Plus deductibles, co-pays, and other bullshit.

Anyways, how much are yall even taxed that’s “too much”?

I get it, immigration takes time and some of them may not have the skills or the means to do it, or to do it quickly....HOWEVER, in the meantime, if they have no allegiance to this country, they should show some dignity by refraining from voting and refraining from doing everything they can to screw up the country for the people who actually DO care about it.

I have always found it hugely ironic that these guys are supporting a US administration that will only make it harder for them to immigrate to the US.

So... by joining the us... they think that will stop subsidizing the US? Have they not seen what california already does for half of the country?
