I'm using liftoff at the moment, pretty good so far. I still get compulsions to type reddit after my Google searches though to look up answers on questions I have...need to break that years-long habit

Crazy how much busier it’s gotten since I made an account this morning and since I went to work lol. Great to see it, I hope this is the first step to the internet returning to its former state
I'm using Connect at the moment has been fine. Looking forward to the new version of Sync. But the only sub I miss is buildapcsales but only a matter of time.
I'm having a pretty good time here but I don't really like the desktop interface, I had to write some custom CSS to improve it :p
I do like wefwef, obviously for the UI but I’m using memmy on a daily basis.
Mostly for one reason, being able to save posts, which is something I do a lot. Now I just need to be able to categorize the saved post like on Apollo pro and that will be perfect.
Pretty damn happy really. Haven't found an app yet but I think i'll go with wefwef. This site is pretty small but that's why I like it! the overbloat of the internet just gives me headaches these days. -3-
I like Summit best of the three apps I've tried (Lemmy and Thunder being the other two). It's a pretty bare bones layout and style of navigation, which I prefer.
As for missing reddit, well... it seems like most of the community spirit/attitude was slipping away following the API changes. I'm hoping to find it again here and I like what I see so far!
Edit: yeah no, wefwef blows the rest out of the water, fr
Check out wefwef, jerboa and Connect as well.
Many more to come in the near future.
I logged into the reddit website today (with adblock of course) and unsubscribed all subreddits, with the exception of some niche stuff that I have to find an alternative for. Currently exploring Mastodon and now Lemmy, looks good so far. I don't miss reddit at all.
I had to go there yesterday to find a motor stream. Felt filthy and left as soon as I could.
I've been using Jerboa since mid June, but I'm on Android. It was a bit slow at first and I did have those gnawing desires to go back to reddit, but I haven't done so. You really notice the time waste on that site when you aren't actively going to it anymore.
I’m enjoying Lemmy so far. Agree it will take a while for traffic to pickup and content to grow but so far I’m loving Wefwef from replicating Apollo. Also feeling like I just typed OP’s post back to them but I really don’t know enough about Lemmy yet to contribute much more haha
Yeah, its the very same for me...
I was using it and thought it was great but it stopped refreshing. I tried to use memmy for lemmy but they are overloaded right now. So now I’m on liftoff for lemmy. I was getting a few errors earlier but it seems to be working well now.
I really did like wefwef! I heard memmy is great too.
I'm on iOS and i found that making a bookmark for the website on my homescreen works pretty much just the same as a native app. Love it.
I finally realized that 90% of the subreddits I flipped through for hours on end were an absolute waste of time. Good riddance, Reddit.
