I was genuinely surprised by existence of this thing called "TankieTube" and don't know either it 1 big meme, new propaganda spreading platform or just someone has troubles with choosing names.

We are taking about Google. The US tech company that works with the US government(which is rotted to the core now). No matter how noble the reasons they will tell you for this actions, this identity verification will be used for surveillance and control of personal life. This is basically the same thing as with child safety now.

It indeed fucked up their economy very hard. Instead of spending thoose billions of dollars on creating better infrastructure, they wasted them on war.

Providing support for a feature doesn't mean forcefully implementing it. I haven't seen any info about that all OS will use this feature as intended or use it at all.
