Last time housing prices crashed in the USA, people's incomes crashed as well or their mortgage obtaining ability did. All it meant was that the already rich and corporations were able to buy up real estate cheap. Did not remotely help 90% of the population.

Yep. For some reason I've never tired of that song. Others I would hate hearing 1/100th as much but not it.
It would be better if people stopped fucking billionaires. Really we don't need their spawn.
Had a friend that had pretty much the same thing happen to her - in 1982. This has always been America.
Not all immigration is bad. Not all foreign workers are bad. However when companies/employers are allowed to freely manipulate the system so that Canadians cannot get the jobs or the training and 'scholarships' and apprenticeships are for women, indigenous, and immigrants first, then Canadians who are excluded will be resentful. There was a news report yesterday of someone trying to raise money to keep an unqualified student in Canada, all expenses paid, because that young person had "potential". So do many other young Canadians and yet no one is trying to sponsor them if their parents cannot afford to send them to post secondary training. When a Canadian needs a trade certificate to do a job but a TFW can use the fake certificate his friend created for him, it isn't a equal employment field.
In today's online messaging world, one person's sarcasm is another's opinion. Without /s it is very hard to tell which it is.
When has he ever had the pretense of ethics?
I'm Canadian and English is my first language. If I didn't see that product in a cleaning products isle at the store, I would be very confused because it looks like a drink and while baking soda is something to clean with, it is also something to bake with. It should at very least have the words cleaner or detergent in equally large lettering on the front label.
They are....billionaires. That is the common denominator of horrible people. They think that because they are rich beyond measure that their opinions should rule the world. The world would be a much much better place if we were rid of the pestilence of the billionaire class and maybe the '$100s of millions' class. No one gets to being a billionaire by being completely honest, law abiding, fair, moral and ethical. Rules must be ignored in the quest for superlative riches. Those rules are only for those who haven't become rich enough to ignore them. Even if they seem like benign benefactors, scratch the surface and you will find they are, without exception, evil.
Except Trump has finally made every other country in the world question why we don't just cut the rope. I think the rope will be cut if Trump continues to stay in office.
Was in a foreign country recently. The toilets were marked M/F. Walked in one door and my husband went in the other and they both opened into the same large room with sinks in the middle and fully closed cubicles around the edge.
If my kid could change binoculars into dust, I would want to harness that power. It's amazing.
