Made for some good watching when Pettersson started tearing it up. Or that one post from Reddit of that dude saying Pettersson didn't have the xfactor, and he was personal friends with scouts etc etc.

Yeah kind of seemed like the way the Canucks players were pushing in on him that maybe it could be argued his leg was being kicked involuntarily, but there wasn't a really clear shot of what was happening behind him.

He just looks so angry and defeated. Guess this is what happens when reality comes crashing down and you need more than 2 players to win a game.

About a minute into the 3rd there was a big scramble around the net and video review showed edmonton kicked it in. Was tough to say though. Couldve gone either way.

Right? Every line is working hard out there. I'm loving how the team looks this year.

Haha well I'm not gonna disagree with you there.

Finished my first playthrough and entered ng+. Currently playing Phantom Liberty now before I got sucked into another 100 hours of Starfield.

Yeah it was the first time I managed to catch the game and be able to watch the intermission panel and I was wondering where Bieksa was. Missed the part where they said he was doing an interview. I didn't mine Bisonette but I love listening to Bieksa. Dude is definitely the best part of that crew. They better keep him around for a long time.

I haven't been paying much attention to the sportsnet panel. Did they get rid of Bieksa and replace him with Bissonette?

The Canucks completely dominated the 2nd period. The score definitely doesn't tell the story because Oettinger looked as good as Demko. Just after the 1st goal when we took the penalty I thought for sure Dallas was gonna tie it up, or at least get some good chances on Demko. But no, Canucks PK kept the puck away from them almost the entire time, looked like 5on5 and Dallas just couldn't get anything set up.

That poor kid.

I'm cautiously waiting to see if I should purchase my ticket for the hype train.

Now that's a solid first game of the season. Way to go boys.

Hopefully the game tonight goes better than last. Still expecting a lot of fringe AHL players, they didn't make a whole lot of cuts after last game.

Do we do these here? Is there enough people that check in?

Canucks GM Patrik Allvin has sent the 31-year-old winger and a third-round pick to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for backup goalie Casey DeSmith.

Arshdeep Bains and Aidan McDonough each scored power-play goals in the loss

Really hoping he has a good season this year. It can be tough getting over the loss of such an important family member like a parent, and it's completely understandable that he would blame hockey for missing time with his dad. Looking forward to seeing how he moves forward this year.

I was a bit taken aback when almost every character in my camp was quick to jump my bones very early on, this explains it.

I want to see more of the Deep Roads. It was one of my favorite places in the first game, not only beautiful but incredibly creepy. The abandoned areas, the darkspawn infested areas, the broodmother encounter. I want to see more of that. I felt in the 2nd and 3rd games it was underutilized. These are vast network of tunnels that have been abandoned for so long that you get this unsettling feeling that you shouldn't be there. I really hope they play a bigger role in the next game.

The Canucks' most dynamic forward prospect has two goals in four pre-season games with his new SHL team.
