Trump was elected with a majority of the popular vote. Undoing his work will only lead to the election of another like him in short order. The USA needs a new constitutional convention that will lead to a second republic with a system different from the current one. Maintaining the current system will only lead to increasingly longer cycles of chaos followed by increasingly shorter (or less sensible) cycles of sanity.

Racism in the United States is astonishing. As a non-American, until Obama’s time, I used to think that, there was just some institutional racism left over from past decades and a few extremists in the South—but not much else. After Obama, it’s incredible how most white people have become extremely right-wing extremists, all because of a single president of mixed descent. Now, the problem seems enormous, and a solution doesn’t appear to be anywhere in sight.

I think that when you repost it is clear who the original author is and where he put it, I don't think there is a problem with that, especially in a system that does not accumulate karma or anything like that. For me it is one of the best features of Lemmy (piefed, kbin, etc) and I think it should be enhanced more

If he had consulted his allies BEFORE starting this mess, he would now receive more than indifference and contempt.

The window of opportunity to get out of this situation in the USA is closing fast, and if it's not seized soon, this mess is going to last decades, assuming a lot of deaths and an absurd amount of money that the country no longer has like it did decades ago. The shit is going to fall on everyone.

In his first term his national policies were not so bad, with things that could be criticized like everyone else, but in general I think the balance was positive.
But in the last elections he lost some power and now at the parliamentary level he is in the hands of far-right Catalan separatists who only support him out of hatred for the anti-separatism far-right. Since then his measures have been few, due to ineffectiveness and more than debatable.

P.S. Spain has been doing quite well in economic terms in recent years.

The US does not have the plan. Israel has it and it consists of turning Iran into chaos so that it is a failed state and can never be a rival at any level for them, if this means chaos and destruction for everyone else around them they don't care
