Unfortunately when media fails us, it is true that there's a point where the illusion breaks, but that's much higher than it would be if they just did their fucking jobs.

The cass report has already been thoroughly debunked. What a Trumpian time to pretend otherwise.

He's probably got a stipulation in the will that it all goes towards statues of himself.

When you don't source your vague gestures at truths obvious to you, it hurts your argument to insult others lack of research. More effort on posts is always encouraged.

Burgers are fine-dining now. Still trying to find cheap food that's nutritious and doesn't contain too much fiber for medical reasons. Eventually that will be fine dining prices too.

ICE appears to have learned nothing about blatantly lying and ignoring lawful procedures. Eventually, judges will have to choose between treating ICE procedures as most likely unlawful and the constitution. Seems obvious to everyone but them when they can only muster a firmly worded rebuke.

I dunno about that. This was more or less Chuck Schumers approach to passing his agenda. If you fight him it's going to get worse, so don't fight? I feel foreign nationals shouldn't be leading the charge because of their vulnerability, but for full-fledged us born citizens following the law with their rebuke, surely many would martyr themselves for a historical rally against fascism knowing the ACLU would defend them.

If the most you can muster to defend a judge who didn't want to act as a deputized federal agent for ICE is, "The way the FBI went about this was unprofessional." Then perhaps you shouldn't be interviewed on matters of fascism.

Well, the issue isn't Signal being bad, it's a government official who violates FOIA requirements because apparently what he says is too damning to be scrutinized.

Yeah it's one thing for regular people to do this, but I think media just keeps digging and it's beyond repulsive. They would rather do anything but journalism and in this case journalism means sitting for 2 days reading in the comfort of your home... There's always been a debate between whether it's purposeful or lazy and I think I've gravitated towards lazy on the part of hosts and writers and purposeful on the part of decision makers that they'd hire people so opposed to work in the first place. Mehdi researched heavily and was removed... it seemed like executives fixing the glitch of accidental good journalism.

Giving everyone 5k would more meaningfully improve birth rates than asking educated young people worried about their future childrens' standard of living to take a leap for the cost of one small medical emergency.

If they're so worried about rich flight, why don't they seize their assets or nationalize their companies if they do? Thanks for our warehouses asshole

Occasionally, on my daily walks, I see squirrels who aren't scared of humans and can catch detailed photos of them with only a smartphone. This one popped up from a dumpster to the ledge and seemed much more interested in eating than running.

This article is likely to become more and more relevant, but I wanted to highlight many of these heroes for a central theme, which is that not a single one of these people said, "I will not comply" to make themselves a target. They kept their power and used it to save thousands, or they forged documents or narratives through a normal process without drawing unnecessary attention to themselves.
