I'm honestly shocked you still have a job.

Heck, you could probably be charged with some sort of crime for helping people with disabilities.

Sadly there are some people who believe that.

The issue you're highlighting is due to the difference between metal and plastic. I have an Orca bottle that has a plastic lid that screws on without any rubber gasket and I end up with shreds of plastic in the bottle.

Plastic rubbing on metal leads to the plastic degrading and metal on metal does not make a good seal, so I think a rubber gasket is your only option.

NYT says it is real.

I have no way to prove it obviously but nothing in that story was made up.

I played through the demo last night. A couple thoughts...

  • Combat is... okay? It definitely seems to skew towards "cut through hordes of enemies" that modern ARPGs have adopted. Think POE/D3/D4 rather than D2/Titan Quest/Grim Dawn.
  • I wasn't a huge fan of the melee classes, but the mage and archer were pretty fun to play as. Both seem to focus on grouping up enemies and using resource or cooldown intensive skills to wipe out the groups.
  • The endgame dungeon they let you play through basically seems like a greater rift/pit.
  • The demo did not go into the town building mechanics at all.
  • The demo also did not go into skills but it looks fairly involved. There is a pet with a skill tree, attributes you can add points to, customizable active skills and what seems like a passive tree. I'm not expecting POE level but it seems more intricate than D4.

I would say I remain cautiously optimistic about the game.

So wait, I'm not just a grumpy old man who doesn't like a lot of noise, this is actually a disorder?

Honestly though it's an interesting question and I wonder if this is just the "natural state." I really started to feel it after I went RVing for a year. It's a relatively recent (in the overall span of humanity) development that people would be in groups large enough to make this be an issue.

I was at a hibachi place in December and one of the managers was trying to light a candle. The lighter didn't work and he made a joke that it "must be made in China. It'll cost 25% more soon!" A guy at the table said "well you'll just need to buy one made in Pennsylvania!"

I asked him if he knew of any companies that manufactured disposable lighters in Pennsylvania, and he just said "Trump will make it happen!"

The disconnect is crazy.

This is from the creator of Warhammer Chaosbane if anyone is familiar. I haven't had a chance to try it but it looks interesting.

It is disabled in the default configuration because you need enough swap space to enable it - which is an overkill amount of swap for any other use case.

You just need to allocate enough swap space for hibernation.

So what class are you going for first? I'm definitely going Sentinel but I'm not sure if I'll go VK or Paladin.

I have a Framework 13 AMD - love it overall. I'm currently running opensuse with Plasma but would honestly be happy to switch DEs if this was possible elsewhere.

It has a moderately high resolution screen (2256x1504). For a lot of games the AMD can't quite keep up, but runs fine at lower resolutions. The problem is that most games will offer native resolution, but then offer "standard" resolutions below that rather than half native.

Is there a way (even if manually for each game) to tell Plasma (or GNOME if I have to go that route) to launch a game with half the screen resolution?
