i want to run some image generation AI models on my local machine but only have a 1070 8gb. that isn't cutting it. so i need something more powerful but not too expensive and ofcourse second hand.

A bit of background, im from India and i have lot of gaming cafes/gaming zones around my place. The owners use those same gaming computers for mining Cryptocurrencies. The cards used in those computers are anywhere from 2070 to 3090 depending on game zone.

Now that the Cryptocurrency mining has reduced a lot, and these people might be ditching their old 2080 and 3060 (in hopes of using 40xx series so they are good on advertisement) is it possible for me to buy those old cards from them?

if yes, what price should I keep in mind? How safe is it to buy cards which have been used to mining(I'll open and clean and repaste the card ofcourse)?

if no, why?

Thanks!

They're taken over by venture capitalist thinking and they're gutting the company. They laid off US workers. They're trying to get an absolute scam of a rental program going. It's sad to watch. Which manufacturer is next?

I've been looking at monitors and there seems to be a large separation of opinions. Is 32" 4k OLED actually that much of an upgrade over a 27" 1440p OLED?

4k seems hard to run and you need to invest a lot into a pc every so often to even run newest titles, even a 4090 is struggling with new games like silent hill stalker 2 and so on,

I see deals like a 4k 32 inch OLED for 714 euros and 1440p 240hz for 499 and 360hz for 650..

Is it worth jumping to 4k? Keep in mind I recently bought a 9800x3d would going 4k make my CPU choice pointless ?

My favorite setting is Gigabit Lite = 'When Gigabit Lite is enabled, the maximum speed of your Ethernet connection is reduced from the standard 1 Gbps to 500 Mbps, in order to reduce power consumption. It typically operates within a speed range of 100 Mbps to 500 Mbps.'
