i want to run some image generation AI models on my local machine but only have a 1070 8gb. that isn't cutting it. so i need something more powerful but not too expensive and ofcourse second hand.

A bit of background, im from India and i have lot of gaming cafes/gaming zones around my place. The owners use those same gaming computers for mining Cryptocurrencies. The cards used in those computers are anywhere from 2070 to 3090 depending on game zone.

Now that the Cryptocurrency mining has reduced a lot, and these people might be ditching their old 2080 and 3060 (in hopes of using 40xx series so they are good on advertisement) is it possible for me to buy those old cards from them?

if yes, what price should I keep in mind? How safe is it to buy cards which have been used to mining(I'll open and clean and repaste the card ofcourse)?

if no, why?

Thanks!
