I don’t understand how Clone Wars season 3 goes from the amazing Savajj arc (how did Cartoon Network get away with airing that?) into this dorky shit. The monster designs look like rejected Pokémon box art legendaries.

It also just seems so weirdly inconsistent with lore.

This is clearly a way for Epic Games to promote their new alternative to Google Play and Apple's App Store, but hey, free games. Seems they need network access to do a licence check, but once that's done they appear to work offline.

Played XWVM (closed) Alpha with my ViperPit and with XR glasses. I’m simply in awe that I can replay missions from XWing (or TIEFighter) with more modern graphics and modern interface devices again. I spent so many hours playing this as a kid.

I go over the input settings and show it’s capabilities to connected various joystick devices, demo the Proofing Grounds and showcase mission 1+2. In the end I go over various settings for the XWVM engine and how the machine hardly sweats displaying the gorgeous cockpit.

XWVM is not an official product from Lucasfilm Ltd. or Disney. It is not endorsed or authorized by either. It is a fan recreation of the game engine used to play X-Wing and TIE Fighter for the sake of accessibility and requires the original game assets to work.

The game was played with Viture Pro XR running in Side-By-Side mode thanks to ReShade on a Linux PC.

A Star Wars RPG shouldn’t be such a tricky game to make, yet it’s surprising how many fans feel like official titles have fallen short.

This is part of the reason Star Wars fans are losing it over this open-world RPG inspired by the franchise.

Creative fans have helped develop one of the most exciting Star Wars experiences thus far.

It’s no secret that the original Star Wars trilogy inspired many of today’s best filmmakers. Now, we can add one more to that list. French filmmaker Coralie Fargeat has received great acclaim for her film The Substance, which is nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Fargeat herself is up for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Apparently, it was Star Wars where Fargeat first got her spark as a director. Letterboxd recently shared Fargeat’s La Guerre des Étoiles, a Star Wars fan film from 1993 that she made at the age of 17. The thumbnail adds it was Fargeat’s first film. The title “La Guerre des Étoiles” is French for “Star Wars.” The film uses action figures and other methods to recreate scenes from Return of the Jedi. (Editor’s note: The action scenes remind me of stuff my buddies and I filmed in our youth that we swore was award-worthy.)
