It’s become an unusable unit. Cannot connect with anything, especially if they are camping around buildings. What was wrong with the small model?

Hey all I'm a near 40 year old Starcraft OG and dabbling back in the game both playwise and spectator wise, but God help me I cannot find on youtube that huge tournament moment from the early SC2 days where famous Terran player 'Thorzain' obliterated an army with a bunch of Thors using that initial artillery cannon ability they had that, as I understand, got completely taken out of the game AFTER that tournament game.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Been searching on youtube to no avail. Also-- what the heck was that move even called before they took it out? I thought it was called High Impact Payload or Thor's Hammer, but those are terms being used for a current ability and the name of the unit's weapon(s) respectively.

Thanks in advance

Guys, I think I just got a brilliant idea that could potentially fix the map making issues with range 2 Liberators (or Terran buildings in the corner if we consider that an issue). Please let me know if I'm missing something, because to me it sounds like a perfect solution.

The idea: adding small clouds of "corrosive" or "burning" gas in dead air spaces , for example behind mineral lines. Any flying units or just mechanical air units, and potentially flying structures too, will start to slowly lose hp if they spend more than 5-10 seconds inside the gas cloud. The technology should be there because we had similar stuff in the single player campaigns if my memory is right.

The only downside that comes to my mind is nerfing the potential of hanging Warp prisms, Ravens or loaded Medivacs in dead spaces with the damaging gas, but it's not like every air space needs to be filled with that gas. It would be up to the map maker to choose where and if to add the damaging gas to their map.

Dear r/starcraft, the Finnish StarCraft II community's 14th-anniversary tournament will culminate on this Saturday, December 7th, in offline finals day in Helsinki. Expect an entire day of games and entertainment live on Twitch - but sadly mostly in Finnish.

This is an unofficial Finnish Championship event, where Finland's SC2 elite (excluding Serral) will battle for the top spot, and have some fun as well. :)

Watch the broadcast at twitch.tv/starcraft2fi

Featuring appearances by:

  • Joona "Serral" Sotala – the GOAT
  • Juha "Divinesia" Nurmenniemi – Finland's most active SC2 commentator
  • Vesa "Welmu" Hovinen – former SC2 pro
  • Samuli "elfi" Sihvonen – former SC2 pro
  • Mikael "Mixu" Helenius – 2nd best currenlty in Finland
