As the title says, I just recently suffered the worst defeat imaginable. It was a ZvZ and I started with a fast pool and was able to snipe my opponent's natural, which is usually an auto win in most of my ZvZ matches, but my opponent was quick to build spines in his main, so I figured, I'll just sit back and make sure he doesn't have any ninjas. This worked pretty well and I noticed my opponent started turtling hard after regaining his natural, so I started expanding like crazy and took almost every base on the map uncontested. I tried breaking his natural, but he had lurkers, spines and spores so I got broodlords which prompted him to nydus my main base which destroyed all my tech. I rebuilt all my tech, but this is where things turn nightmarish. I once again tried pushing into his natural, but now my opponent has mass vipers, his lurkers destroyed every ground unit easily while his vipers killed every air unit. Rinse, repeat about 5 times. Mass ultras? Dead. Mass mutas? Dead. Mass ling run-bys? Dead. As you can imagine, my frustration is at an all-time high and I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown. The game lasted for about 51 minutes and he got a few mutas to eat away at my tech. I had about 6 bases left, but I decided to quit out of sheer humiliation. If I had to guess, I'd say my opponent traded resources at 20 to 1.
I figured this would turn into a balance discussion because I don't believe units should be able to trade that efficiently, but instead I wanted to ask: Has anyone on this sub experienced this level of frustration/anxiety/humiliation from a game?
