Thought I'd kick things off here with a hiya post, and share one of my favourite artworks of my fursona/me (I'm otherkin!) while I was at it!

Let me know if a general "hi!" post is beyond scope for the community!

This particular image is from a scene in a dream I had that essentially "made" me otherkin. Here's a little snippet for flavour;

Waking up from the conciousness switch was definitely disorienting to say the least, but after a few weeks of physical therapy and heavy monitoring, I was finally allowed to head out and explore, unsupervised, even! I was still slightly unsteady on my feet, but I could walk well enough.

Walking around the ship was definitely interesting, and I was learning a lot about the culture I'd found myself newly a member of. I'd been given the basics, of course. But the small part of me that was still human was amazed at the technology around me, I just kind of had to take a seat at a nearby café..

I have been wanting to use peertube but I have not really found an instance that is right for my content. On my youtube channel I do blender tutorial, pony animations, and recently some furry stuff.

Hello everyone! This is the first time I've ever uploaded my art online. I know it's not the best, but I tried. I never really draw anything before and it took me quite a while to finish this.

I've been struggling with a lack of motivation lately. I always feel too demotivated to ever finish anything. And before I share my creation online, I always feel anxious and scared that I'll mess up or annoy someone. But I wanted to push through all that and share this to all of you!

This image represents how I feel sometimes. Staying in bed, mildly bored and apathetic. I don't have a name for the character or anything, this is more of a test art.

I mainly make DAZ renders using highly morphed and geografted figures. Sloan's model is a Sakura 8 with Catgirl Megapack assets, using morphs from the G8F Shapeshift morph pack and RawArt's Sphinx to turn the default figure into a male anthro serval.

This is a WIP recording of one of my characters, Fern. I also wrote a view smoothing add-on to record this, may have gone a bit overboard how floaty it is, sorry about that.

I also just got the little panel on his back done today, mainly what I wanted to show.

Do you remember when and what helped you discover your affinity for furries? If you do, I'd like to hear your stories!

To get the ball rolling I'll start with mine. While I certainly can't pinpoint the exact date I became fixated on anthros, I can absolutely remember getting Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast when I was 7 or 8 (2000ish).

Seeing Tails was all I needed to get hooked, and want to be a cool fox like him. I didn't even have a word for it until I started using the internet years later, but my furry fate was sealed from then onward. It was the catalyst that got me into fantasizing about having fur and a big tail, and got me doodling lots of Sonic art as a kid. While I've long since stopped making Sonic art, Tails still holds a special place in my heart over 20 years later.
