I was at the Preds game last week against the Ottowa Senators, and man, it's hard to enjoy the experience right now. The team was off, lots of bad passes and missed opportunities, and that was rough.

But the experience really sucked because of the fans. Admittedly, I was sitting behind a loud and obnoxious group, but there were a lot of jerks in the seats. It started out rough with booing the Canadian national anthem, and went downhill from there. More booing, yelling, spilled beers, the usual bad behavior. It really sucked the joy out of the experience.

I'm probably not coming back anytime soon, and it's not because of the performance on the ice. It's just not worth coming downtown and finding parking and paying $$$ for concessions when the fans around you won't stop being asses.

Scored some free tickets from a friend. First time back in the building in more than a year. Even if it is 'just' preseason. Good to be back.

What's the word on Preds TV packages? did Bally die yet? can't find any updates since the bankruptcy filing in the spring

I'd love a better option than the $20+ /mo direct subscription, and I don't want to sail the seven seas.

What do we think Avaholics? This looks like a solid move to me to address 2C position for a couple years. Perhaps hoping Newhook can continue to progress and grow.

Ekholm stepped into the 2022-23 season as a 32-year-old veteran defenseman, determined to prove that his body was capable of holding up while playing a rigorous style. His offensive game may be trending downwards as the years go on, but one consistency is his ability to be a physical presence in front of the net and corners. Ekholm continued to be one of the better players for Nashville, doing all the little things right and ensuring that the younger crop could learn from them.
