What the title says. I listen to music on my phone and PC about equally, and I want to keep my liked songs synced between them. I was using Spotify until my adblocker broke for me, and then I switched to just listening to music on my browser for my PC, and on ViMusic on my phone.

If I can't do that, is there any way to sync ViMusic with another YouTube music client?

Does anybody backup Firefox over ssh?

I have root on my new (Android 13) and old phone (Android 11) and want to restore Firefox data on the new phone.

rsync-ing whole *.default folder, chown-ing it to the right user - Firefox crashes.

Trying to copy only needed files (eg sessionstore.js for open tabs) doesn't seem to work.

I don't want to use clouds, Sync-things and so on.

Does anybody have a list of files which needs to be translated?

I know about XClipper, but it hasn't been updated in 2 years and had some issues with it is in the past, like it didn't register some copied text on more than one occasion.

I would like an offline clipboard manager which works flawlessly like we have for desktop, i.e., Ditto. If there are recommendations, then please tell me.

TL;DR: Can I connect my posteo.de account to a third party mail administrator without surpassing 2FA.

I don't know if this is the right post, however here I saw a post about at least the same topic.

So I just opened a new e-mail account on posteo.de. I heard a lot of good things so I thought I'd might want to try it and especially because I heard it's meant to focus on security.

I enabled 2FA via "typical" OTP and it works accordingly in the Web-Browser.

Afterwards I wanted to use my e-mail in the mobile app fairemail and thus tried to link it. It didn't work at first, but that was because of the enabled "extra security" where posteo doesn't allow requests over IMAP or POP3. This means those apps won't have excess, too.

I than deactivated it which lead to being able to connect, _however_ I did not get asked once about my 2FA. So I wondered: Will deactivating extra security also just nullify the whole purpose of 2FA, because you can "catch" the e-mails via IMAP/POP3 as an attacker?

I looked into the Simple File Manager kerfluffle so I am a tad iffy on the Simple apps now.

My Joplin has been acting up lately so I made the snap decision to uninstall it. My guess was that my notes would (maybe) be stored in a cache, but it appears that is not the case.
