I’m hearing that the next Xbox console is still coming in 2026 and will be called “Xbox Prime”. Still unclear if it’s a code name or the actual name. I’ve heard Infinity Ward’s next COD is still being considered a day one release for this.

I know people don’t believe it but Xbox next console being in 2026 is pretty much an open secret within the industry. Seems early but I think it makes sense with where Xbox is headed.

Name sounds corny but it fits if there’s a big push for day one games on game pass right away and they get jump on PS6. Big risk but huge rewards if it pays off.

I asked Jez for corroboration on this a few weeks ago and he didn’t have the sources to corroborate it or debunk it.

Also in regards to the project they were on between DKCTF and Metroid Prime Remastered, it was some type of Music RPG game where the main mechanic was singing, it was a huge disaster and after years of it going nowhere, Nintendo cancelled the project and put Retro on remastering the FULL Metroid Prime Trilogy, this was also to help Retro develop the production pipeline to be able to outsource for assistance in the future (since all their games were all internally made, you also see a lot of external studios help on Prime 1 Remastered). When everything fell through with Bandai Namco's work on Prime 4 it was given back to Retro, they patched things up with Tanabe after their fallout and they could only finish a remaster of the first Prime as all resources had to be moved to Prime 4. Unsure what the story is now with Prime 2 & 3 Remastered.

The DLSS 4 is rumored to be called 'Advanced DLSS' and also being an exclusive feature of the new cards.

After confirming the final TDP specs for the RTX 5090/5080 series, Kopite7kimi has shared some news about a DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) update that NVIDIA is working on. The new technology, unsurprisingly called DLSS 4, is indeed on the way, claims the leaker.

The rumors began with a picture shared earlier, allegedly, one retailer listed an ASUS RTX 5080 graphics card with DLSS 4 technology mentioned in its name. Kopite has confirmed that the “DLSS4 is true”, which would confirm that NVIDIA might use this performance improving technology for RTX 50 marketing. 

Most gamers, however, focused on the mention of “Neural Rendering Capabilities.” Inno3D believes that this will “revolutionize how graphics are processed and displayed,” suggesting that AI will play an even bigger role in the graphics pipeline. Perhaps its part of the new DLSS4.
