The Game Freak hacker just appeared out of nowhere and dropped the Scarlet / Violet and Pokémon HOME source code.

Currently going through it and will let you know if anything interesting is found.

[Ubisoft currently has some big hitters in development and set to release by the end of 2026, including Splinter Cell Remake, Far Cry 7, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Ghost Recon Over, the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, and a few other smaller projects under big IP names. The Division 3, the Rayman Remake, another Assassin’s Creed Remake codenamed Stardust, another flagship Assassin’s Creed RPG, and Beyond Good and Evil 2 (which is now progressing well) are further out.]

Key Quotes:

"Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Ubisoft Entertainment SA's founding Guillemot family are considering creating a new venture that would include certain Ubisoft assets as they seek to boost the French video-game company's value, people familiar with the situation said.

The Chinese technology firm and the Guillemot family are evaluating which assets to include in a new entity and their valuation, the people said, asking not to be identified because the deliberations are private. A potential deal would allow Tencent to own a stake in the venture and gain more control over some of Ubisoft's intellectual properties, while boosting its video game business outside of China, the people said.

Deliberations are ongoing and no final decisions have been made, the people said. A representative for Tencent declined to comment. A spokesperson for Ubisoft referred to the company's Jan. 9 announcement, when it said it had appointed advisors to review and pursue various options to boost value, declining to comment until that process has been completed.

Bloomberg News reported in October that Tencent and the Guillemot family were speaking with advisers on ways to stabilize Ubisoft and bolster its value after its share price plunged. A buyout was one of the options under consideration, people familiar with the matter have said."

I cannot link the Discord server, or the game files, unfortunately, due to the rules of the sub.

However, the Discord server is easy to find if you look it up.

Here are the files on Google Drive:

"All I'm going to say right now is that I mention it in my video yesterday"

The games that he mentions on his video are:

  • New Ninja Gaiden from Koei Tecmo (there he speculates that is the most likely option)
  • Persona 4 Remake
  • Final Fantasy IX Remake
  • New "Tales of" Game

He also mentions Persona 6, but today he confirmed that is not it.

Quotes here:

In 2021, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella faced a choice involving the company's Xbox and cloud gaming business. The company could either acquire major game studios to drive more subscriptions to its nascent Game Pass subscription service. Or it could wind down its games business entirely, Nadella told two people at the time.

Nadella took the first path, acquiring Elder Scrolls maker Bethesda Studios for $7 billion in 2021 and Call of Duty maker Activision Blizzard for $75.4 billion in the fall of 2023.

———————————

Microsoft also hoped the Activision deal would attract game developers to rent its Azure cloud servers. But Activision wasn't using Azure prior to the deal, and it still rents servers from Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services while primarily relying on its own servers for development, according to someone with direct knowledge of the situation and another person briefed on it.

———————————

Before completing the Activision acquisition, Microsoft targeted having over 100 million Game Pass subscribers by 2030, meaning it would have to triple its current subscriber base in five years—or grow at a rate of 40% annually, which would be faster than its rate of growth every year since 2020.

According again to Zachy who posted it on Famiboards.

Other user: “Do we KNOW these clocks are portable? You never know...”

Zachy: “The other GPU one is 1007.3”

The comparison I gave is to the RTX 3060 because it’s an apples to apples comparison without architectural weirdness. Hopefully that gives people at least some context.

In today's "Behind The Sims" presentation there was notably a sound effect from The Sims 2 used. The Sims 3 received a patch for the first time in years yesterday. There is new merch hitting retailers for The Sims 1, Sims 2 and Sims 4.

Three tweets from Sims leaker SimMattically all suggest they are finally being released.

This would be the first time The Sims 1 will have been available digitally if true. The 25th Anniversary of The Sims 1 is February 4th.

The GPU quote:

560 GPU

His reply:

I'd prefer 561 but shrug

CPU message he replied to:

This is probably hopium, but ~1.8 GHz. (100% speculation on my part.)

His reply:

(it is indeed hopium)

This would mean the GPU is around ~1.72 TFLOPS when in portable (if exactly 561 MHz)

EDIT: He follow up by saying the docked GPU frequency will be around 1GHz:

The other GPU one is 1007.3

This would mean the GPU is around ~3.09 TFLOPS when docked

EDIT 2: He has now posted CPU clocks and memory frequencies

  • Handheld: CPU 1100.8 MHz, GPU 561 MHz, EMC 2133 MHz
  • Docked: CPU 998.4 MHz, GPU 1007.25 MHz, EMC 3200 MHz

(I think he swapped the docked and handheld CPU frequencies, he probably meant 1100.8 MHz while docked and 998.4 MHz when portable)

This means for memory the following would be the case:

  • 4266 MHz memory frequency while portable; so 68.256 GB/s memory bandwidth
  • 6400 MHz memory frequency while docked; so 102.4 GB/s memory bandwidth (same as the Steam Deck OLED)

tl;dr

Portable:

  • CPU: 998.4 MHz (assuming swapped)
  • GPU: 561 MHz (~1.72 TFLOPS)
  • Memory frequency: 4266 MHz
  • Memory bandwidth: 68.256 GB/s

Docked:

  • CPU: 1100.8 MHz (assuming swapped)
  • GPU: 1007.25 MHz (~3.09 TFLOPS)
  • Memory frequency: 6400 MHz
  • Memory bandwidth: 102.4 GB/s

EDIT 3: Now he's saying the CPU clocks weren't mixed up, so I guess the CPU will have lower clocks when docked (???)

“The remake of Black Flag will include upgraded gameplay mechanics and elements, not just a visual upgrade. The Black Flag remake is confirmed to be built on the upgraded Anvil Engine, which has been used since the first Assassin's Creed. The release of the Black Flag remake could be as early as November 2025, pending an official announcement after Assassin's Creed Shadows is released”.

Original Title: An image of what appears to be the back of the Switch 2's tablet was posted on FamiBoards, showing the long-rumored "Nintendo Switch 2" name & logo of the system (I.E. the big 2 next to the Switch icon above the "Nintendo Switch" text)

If legit, this only further confirms the Switch 2 logo that's been circulating for months now.

Original Title: Jeff Grubb corroborates NateDrake's Switch 2 reveal date of January 16th, heard it from "multiple directions & multiple continents" (rumor mentioned to have been circulating in the UK for a while, US as of the last week or so)

In terms of timing, Jeff was specifically told 16th/17th. But he figures that it's just to account for various time zones (he cites US & JP's time zones as an example).

According to datamining from admins from the Switch 2 Discord server:

Datamines of the current Switch OS and exclusive SDK leaks have confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will have Group Chat and Voice Chat functionality codenamed "Campus".

This is what the C button may be for (unconfirmed, but I'm 99,99% sure.)

Groups will support up to 12 NSO subscribers.

There will be screen sharing!

Nothing like Miiverse. Vidmiio isn't real.

Feel free not to believe this, of course. But mark my words: it will be official in 48 hours!

According to BFM TV (French News TV Channel)

BFM Tech&Co confirms NateTheHate's claims that Assassin's Creed Mirage and Shadows will be released on Switch 2 in 2025.

Ubisoft describes the ports as ambitious and taking advantage of the console's technical power. These ports are not developed by the studios that created the games (Bordeaux and Quebec).

The Shadows port will not be released until the end of the year in order to maintain a high level of finish on this console.

New patent by Sony wants to do your internet's job for you. It talks about a way to minimize latency delays by predicting player inputs ahead of time.

One processor [May] receive input from the camera, determine the user command based on the input from the camera, and control the computer game according to the user command in advance of the user completing the user command."

Could be a game-changer if executed well.

Gay furry game content owo

you guys are epic!

Thanks for including relevant links for all of the nominated items!

I use you guys as my main gaming news source. You're legit better than the actual gaming news subreddit. Keep up the awesome work.

Thanks for weathering the switch 2 storm lol, hopefully it won't get much crazier from here.

I like when I see leak relevant news in the sun, so maybe some more rules and flairs for "updates on previous leaks/rumours/areas of interest". Just a bit more clarity on the topic

More Skibidi Toilet

Love u guys

More funny comunity awards like the best comment award

It’s time to reevaluate the leakers’ tiers. I’d love for more news to be posted as a natural conclusion to the leaks. At the same time I’d love for this sub to go easy on the speculation. Anyway great work mods!

I’m really just a lurker but I love this community. Thank you for everything, and happy new year!

I like the subreddit, solid moderation, posts, community, quality control. If I had to suggest something, once we got our 6th "This is what the Switch 2 looks like" post they should have been put in a megathread of some kind. Only leaks that show new information should have been allowed as separated posts.

Honestly the best mods on Reddit. Deleting shitty posts and shitposts alike

fucking love this sub. straight cocaine.

Thanks for running the ship!

spaghetti and meatballs

one of the better subreddits. keep up the good work

you’re doing great, but maybe more and more specific flairs for posts?

Please consider cracking down on anything Tier 6 or lower. Necrofelipe should not be shitting up this sub with his nonsense

I wish I didn’t have to respond to the “leaker of the year” one. It’s a lame popularity contest, and no one really cares.

Crushed Dreams Award: Leaks that seemed promising or potentially true, but ultimately were wrong or disproven. Small Nitpick: Pyoro leaking his own source to Jason Schreier, then Jason exposing it, basically nuking Pyoro relevance in Leaks Community should have been nominated for Oopsie of Year, definitely not win the category, but deserved a nomination (Midori's Japanese Girl RP should win it)

Let the first person to post something be the only post and delete the second one onward. Kinda weird when two people make the same post and the latter one is the one being approved, especially when it's someone like IcePopsicleDragon who seems to have a monopoly on info posts (some of which are flat out incorrect or not actually unconfirmed). I get you might have preferences or people that are more reliable so they get instantly approved, but be fair to newcomers.

Where are the "monthly pics of armpits" threads you promised all these years ago? I log in to the sub daily just to see if it's here to no avail

I want more photos of Spider-Man!
