So the wording is really dicey, as it specifically states the “shoot date” as February 28th, but logically this wouldn’t make sense considering (that we know of) a script isn’t even finished, and the film itself isn’t due until Spring 2027 (still a good two-ish years away). So unless the release date gets bumped up to 2026, and a script is nearly done, I’d take this with a grain of salt

"I went back and checked the recent instance when we received a GTAO article on a Friday. Sure enough, it was on January 14, 2022 — the second week of January, just like now, when we were waiting on E&E info, and received the Feb 2022 community update weeks after. This time, it's the PC E&E turn.

Is this a coincidence? I’m not sure. What we do know is that R* plans such articles weeks in advance, usually two to three weeks. I can only assume they started preparing an announcement article yesterday, whether it's for GTAV's PC Gen9 or a community update, which may provide an update on VI."

According to Julien Tellouck (famous french video game journalist)

Nintendo shortly came to their CES booth with lawyers, asking them what's up and Genki responded that they did nothing wrong, never signed an NDA.

But Nintendo is on the case, they're probably trying to sue them

The Resident Evil film franchise is managed by Screen Gems/Constantin Films, which must produce a new film every 5 fiscal years to retain the rights, with the next film due before the end of fiscal year 2026.

The upcoming Resident Evil film directed by Zach Cregger is rumored to be an adaptation of "Resident Evil Zero," focusing on characters Rebecca and Billy, indicating a potential tie-in with the game's narrative.

The Nintendo Switch successor, expected to be revealed soon, might coincide with the release of a "Resident Evil Zero" remake, leveraging Capcom's marketing strategy with Nintendo for a launch title.

There is speculation about a marketing deal between Capcom and Nintendo for the release of the RE:0 remake on the Switch successor, aligning with the launch of new hardware.

There might be a thematic celebration of the "Beginning & Ending of the Saga" with the releases of RE:0 and RE9, tying into the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series

According to Lunatic Ignus, there will be a new Phantom Blade Zero trailer on January 21st for the Chinese New Year special.

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers would also have a new trailer for January 21, and it is possible that there is also something planned for Black Myth: Wukong, there has been talk of a DLC for quite some time, I don't know if that will be it or not.

  • Hands-on previews take place next week
  • He also reported earlier that the dev team hit some snags and wanted maximum polish but didn’t want to delay the media event again due to logistics of setting it up later

I think a good long look at the game will clear a lot of doubts about the gameplay mechanics and overall quality. February is already stacked with good games so March is a better release window for it, in my opinion.

Saber Interactive has once again entrusted Ashley Cooper with Jurassic Park: Survival, as she was the writer of Space Marine 2 and World War Z: Aftermath. Ashley Cooper herself has confirmed on her LinkedIn and social media that she is the writer of Jurassic Park: Survival.

Shinobi602 was asked if Jurassic Park Survival will be released in 2025, to which he replied that he hopes so, but he's not under any illusions.

Saber Interactive recently updated the header on their social media accounts and their official website, putting Jurassic Park Survival as the first game, so now the number one priority within the studio is to be focused one hundred percent only on Jurassic Park Survival.

Hopefully this year they'll tell us the official date for Jurassic Park Survival, since this year they should already show things about the game officially, and more so with the release of Jurassic World: Rebirth this summer they should already announce something about Jurassic Park Survival before the release of the movie. Remember that they are working one hundred percent on the game, don't believe the false rumors that are circulating about the game being cancelled or anything like that, since all of that is false.

New details about Bungie’s MOBA-Smash Bros hybrid, project Gummy Bears, now under development at a new PlayStation studio.

Bungie has been quietly working on a new IP, codenamed Gummy Bears, a team-based competitive MOBA game. Gummy Bears officially transitioned from Bungie to a new PlayStation studio, with around 40 Bungie developers spearheading its continued development.

What We Know About Bungie’s Gummy Bears

Gummy Bears is a MOBA at its core, with a playful twist: it incorporates elements inspired by Nintendo’s hit platform fighting game, Super Smash Bros. This is according to multiple sources familiar with the project who wish to remain anonymous as they cannot publicly discuss the company’s plans.

Players won’t have traditional health bars; instead, the game uses a percentage-based damage system, where characters are knocked back further based on how much damage they’ve taken—or inflicted. Players can even be knocked off the map entirely.

The game features multiple game modes, catering to various player preferences, and three distinct class types: Support, Attack, and Defense. One source told us that players could hang out with friends in between matches and express their identities in the game.

With a lo-fi, cozy aesthetic, Gummy Bears is aiming to appeal to a younger audience compared to Bungie’s previous works. This tonal shift reflects a deliberate effort to diversify the studio’s portfolio and connect with new demographics.

Internally, the game has been described as Bungie’s “most fun” project from incubation, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from playtests. It’s understood that Gummy Bears has been in development for around three years.

Here are the key details we’ve learned:

  • A PvP team-based competitive game.
  • While fundamentally a MOBA, the game’s “Smash Bros.” influences mean it feels distinct from other entries in the genre; falling off maps, and replacing health-bar eliminations.
  • Multiple game modes are planned.
  • Gummy Bears is described as having lo-fi and cozy vibes, a sharp departure from Bungie’s usual dramatic, high-stakes sci-fi worlds.
  • The project has been praised internally as Bungie’s “most fun” project out of incubation.
  • The game is targeting a younger demographic with vibrant, colorful visuals.
  • Expect a variety of roles, including Support, Attack, and Defense classes.
  • Gummy Bears has been in development for at least three years.

In addition to the sourced details, Bungie’s recent patent filing sheds light on potential gameplay mechanics for Gummy Bears. The patent describes a system where towers in MOBA games can dynamically move, jump, dodge attacks, and use special abilities when charged.

For instance, a tower might retaliate after taking significant damage by performing a powerful area-of-effect attack to stun enemies. Such mechanics could introduce new layers of strategy and unpredictability, setting Gummy Bears apart from other games in the genre.

  • Says the dev team hit some snags and wanted maximum polish but didn’t want to delay the media event again due to logistics of setting it up later
  • The embargo date previously rumoured was around the 20th of Jan from a German games journalist

Not sure if the steam page was supposed to show this info yet as Ubisoft always does a "post launch content" video showcasing all future free and paid dlc.

Maybe it's intenional, maybe not. It's noteworthy that Ubisoft hasn't shared this ilnew info anywhere else.

[Fallout 4] was explored for Switch some years ago. To the point where Hines told my boss at the time to expect it, who then had me prep a story. Never came to fruition, though.

Post made by an employee at another studio on LinkedIn:

Over the past six months or so our project at Jackalyptic has been supercharged by the world-class devs at Counterplay Games. It's impossible to overstate their impact. From the very first day they put their shoulders to the wheel like it was their baby.

Unfortunately we were unable to continue our partnership into the new year and CPG was disbanded. I want to share the profiles of a few folks I worked with closely, strongly recommend, and hope to work with again as soon as possible.

Wal-Mart Canada changed their banner to the "Mario and Luigi present" image that was recently put up by Nintendo of Japan's Twitter account. Wal-mart also made a pinned post that questioned:

Now that we're a week into 2025... When do you think we'll see the first Nintendo Direct of the year?

Wal-Mart Canada has previously given hints before Nintendo Directs and other announcements have occurred.

Before you say "these are clearly just for Switch 1 devkits", keep in mind that 16.0.0 released in February 2023 and 19.0.0 released in October 2024. Those devkits would have had that functionality ages ago. What this suggests is some new functionality, in line with previous rumors about mouse functionality and scrolling shoulder buttons.
