Should Lewis-Skelly have been sent off? INCIDENT: Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly shown a straight red card by referee Michael Oliver for fouling Matt Doherty near the edge of the Wolves box.

The decision was "checked and confirmed" by Darren England, with the VAR deeming Lewis-Skelly to have committed "serious foul play".

DERMOT SAYS: "I think it is breaking up a promising attack. That's my opinion and other referees see it differently.

"Lewis-Skelly realises Doherty is away and his priority is to stop him quickly, and he flicks out.

"It's a very cynical foul but not a red card.

"It's not the worst decision in the world like people say.

"Referee Michael Oliver feels, and still feels, that he goes down his Achilles. If that's what he thinks, referees are told now that a tackle with studs down the Achilles have to be a red card.

"I don't think he does. It happens very quickly.

"But for me, I think it is a yellow card for stopping a promising attack. Is the challenge with brutality? is it with malice? Is it gaining intensity and speed? I think not."

Original Title: For you Young Guns check out the highlights of this satisfying 10 men 2-0 come back in 07/08. For context, back then Bolton was our boogey team. This result followed Eduardo's injury and a run of 4 draws and one loss where Drogba ragdolled us. That run would go on to cost us the title that season.

Original Title: The Premier League website uses an image of Jeremy Doku's challenge on Alexis MacAllister from last season as an example of a 'high foot challenge', despite it not being given as a foul by either the Referee or VAR

Original Title: “I didn’t expect the red card, to be honest. But it happens, you have to react. We can’t keep talking about red cards. We didn’t talk about it much at half-time either. “It is not the first time. It is still hard but we also know how to deal with it now." Jurrien Timber
