I know this game is extremely poorly optimized on PC, and I am using FFXIIIFix, I was wondering if there was a way to get a stable 60 fps? I have it running on window mode at 720, with 4x anti-aliasing, and 1024x1024 shadow res. My GPU usage varies from 38-67% with an average of about 52-62%

Is there any way to increase this? I know there is a 4gb patch, but I can't get the .bat file to run on steamdeck.

I know this question has been asked so much, but it really needs to be asked again. Every single guide I tried to follow had outdated settings and didn't cover some of the newer additions to yuzu. Is there an agreed upon best settings list that included the new settings?

I’ve had my Steam deck for about 2 weeks at this point and I’ve been having an issue where it would just freeze whatever game I’m playing and restart completely. There will be times when I'm playing a game and it works perfectly for hours on end but when I try to play with friends it freezes and reboots or when I play the same game solo offline it still freezes, goes black, and reboots out of nowhere.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or how to prevent it?

Plug in headphones into the headphone jack of your OLED steam deck. If you hear bad static or hum - it means something is wrong and you should submit a support ticket so Valve prioritizes finding a solution. This issue is very widespread

I just tried dreamcast on emudeck and it struggles to keep 60fps, most of the time drops to the 50s, doesn't really make a lot of sense because is one of the easiest consoles to emulate. Can you guys share your in emulator and steam deck performance settings?

Is it difficult to aim?

Division 2 has a memory leak issue from what I can see, causing my game to crash. Just wanted to get a grasp on how long this issue has been a known issue for…

My dummy frugal self bought a used 64gb steam deck with a 1tb upgrade. It keeps crashing!!! At first it was just cyber punk now it’s ANYTHING I play even my friend Pedro and postal 2 which aren’t very demanding games. This can’t be the intended result??? I’m honestly just sad I probably got burned thinking I got a good deal. Additionally my vram is only showing 4gb total although I changed my VRAM to 4gb. My 3DS was running better and I’ve had that for YEARS. I don’t understand how a 3 month old deck can’t keep up with:/

It works when it’s plugged directly into the wall. Can anyone explain?

New to steam and I have no games, I’ve been on Xbox forever, I need some recommendations for any steam games that are good for the deck.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone was having an issue installing the firmware for rpcs3? I get a message saying “rpcs3 abnormally terminated id:24” everything is up to date fw and rpcs3, just trying to finish setting up emudeck

It's obnoxious that my hotspot won't work with it. Can't bypass Ubisoft sign in without it. Idk why some people's hotspot works but others don't, even with the same carrier.

B button sticking after a few hours after receiving, decided to give it a few days to break in ..to no success. Still sticking. Returning it and I've seen others as well. This is my first deck ..must be a design flaw of button being too close to the handle?

Not to be a fanboy, but for me, the my most seamless experiences on the deck by far have all been Capcom games (RE4, RE2, & DMC5). As someone new to PC gaming, what distinguishes them from other developers? Why, IMO, do their games seem to run so much better on deck out of the box then other developers?

Also, pretty pumped for DD 2. With their track record I'm guessing it may be playable on the deck(???) but who knows...

(Swear I'm not a plant)

In my experience, both getting Diablo 2 on deck, and playing has been a seamless experience from start to finish thanks to this installation below.

https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers-On-Steam-Deck

-All you have to do is open up a browser on your steam deck.

-scroll down the GitHub page -hit download

-Launch the executable, which should in turn ask which Launchers you want installed.

I chose Rockstar, Ubisoft, Epic and Battlenet all at once. Had 0 issues.

Diablo 2 picks up on the Steam decks controls and has been an absolute blast to play. 70-90 on low preset. I opted for 45fps capped with medium settings.

I Had to make a post just to give props to this guy and the Non Steam launchers installer, saves a lot of headache and time. It’s straight to the point. But also because I’m quite new to Diablo in general, got D2:R for 13 bucks and have realllly enjoyed it so far. So much so that I went through the effort to get it on Deck.

Looks great on that OLED screen

Has anyone here been able to set a password on the bootup of their steam device? I still have yet to figure that out, and am considering just putting another linux distro (either kubuntu or xubuntu) on a different partition. Would really appreciate some advice!

I've tried using the default installed version of gamescope with random pieces of software and I've also tried with lutris using flatpak and no matter what gamescope is crashing. Does anyone know what I can do to get gamescope working in desktop mode?

examples:

in desktop mode with a normal application:

I'm pretty nervous of third party docks since one bricked my switch but, I'm tight on money. Any suggestions?

Hey all, I’ve been trying to get my USB drive to install the folders necessary for transferring games. But I keep getting this pop up. I’ve formatted my file. Deleted its name, and even changing it from exFAT. If anyone can help resolve this It is much appreciated
