We're at 0.9.9 already and the site seems pretty well developed. What are the devs working to add before 1.0?

There is still a lot of work to do. Some of the main tasks are improved moderation tools, support for different languages, and federation with other projects. We definitely cant reach 1.0 before those are done. And then we also have to make sure that the API and ActivityPub can be backwards compatible in the long term.
