I just recently got a chance to try out Mouthwashing. I went into it not knowing anything about the game other than that it was a recently released, well regarded horror game in the "walking simulator" style.

I thought it was really good. Interesting story, nice late 90s retro visuals, good setting (small group of people stuck on a spaceship is always a great setting as far as I am concerned). I just wish more time was spent on fleshing out the characters and their relationships. It would have added some more intensity to the experience.

I don't enjoy playing horror games, but this one looked interesting so I watched a playthrough. I keep thinking back on it. I ended up watching a second playthrough, by someone I knew was a horror fan. I could tell there were a lot of references, but don't know enough to spot them myself. That one was even more interesting than the first.

I am big fan of horror movies, but I do not like horror games (played Soma with the passive monsters mod).

This one was really good, more of a psychological horror game.

I just wish the prelude part was longer and the map was larger and with more interactive elements.
