I once matched with a woman on a dating site, and she was a TERF.... who was also a trans-woman.
I was dumbfounded. I was like, how in the world can you parse someone who's that incongruous in their own thinking? She was straight up bigoted against herself.
I saved the whole conversation because it was absolutely wild and thought I would post it somewhere, but it seemed wrong... like, making fun of the mentally handicapped. ๐
Like, how? Did she not view herself as a real woman and use the men's room?
That's pretty much it for many conservative trans folk. They use it as a form of self flagellation, because they honestly believe that something is wrong with who they are, and that they deserve it.
They just happen to think that whatever way they experience their trans identity is the least bad way to be trans and that it's all of the other trans folk that are the real problem making it harder for them to live their self hating lives
Reminds me of the "the only justified abortion is my abortion" mentality that conservatives have.
