ButterflyAha.... That's honestly kinda scummy. Is that what people actually call it? (The shorter version in game? I have only heard it refered to as what you said.

No, the connection today was "starts of swimming strokes".So they had breast[stroke], butter[fly], free[style], and back[stroke].
Although interestingly, all of these except butterfly are often shortened to the word as it appeared in the puzzle. Butterfly gets shortened to "fly".
