So I grew up in the bay area and I watched ALL three Raider Suoerbowl victoies in real time (live) on a 13 inch Sony TV

I also watched Montana and Young kick ass in SF for decades..and it was great football.

I love the Raiders...and all of our Raider Nation 4 ever

Here's my point.

The vast majority of fans, of eifher team, that I meet, will ruthlessly talk shit about the other team

WHY ?

AFC/NFC

They have ONLY faced each other 15 times and have Never played in a Superbowl matchup

Because of fans. They not in the same conference let alone division but we see our neighbors every fucking day. We see them walking outside, in the store, in restaurants, in bars, even at work and we have to hear "bang bang Niner gang" all fucking day even on the radio! The local sports station 95.7 The Game have been deep throating the niners for years! Even when they went 4-11 a few years back they were giving them more praise than the raiders when we had the same exact record.

So you take all that animosity, throw beer and whiskey on top of it, put us in a coliseum or Levi stadium and you've got your recipe for a few fights. One guy even got shot at a game and that was just preseason. The beef is real out here but I'm still going to the next Raider v Niner game at Levi I think in 2025

Yeah I remember when the Raiders were in playoff contention and 9ers were not, and when the 9ers signed Jimmy G, 95.7 dropped all Raiders coverage to oogle over the fantastic signing.
