This, but always during an unpausable cutscene.
I use to wonder the same thing with the GF when it came to Zelda. It always seemed she was in a part of the game she couldn't pause.
One day she showed me the game play and I couldn't believe the amount of loading and dialog scenes that modern games sit through these days.
What she hasn’t told you is the Switch can go in sleep mode and pick up right where she left off at any time
Yeah, or just press the Home button to pause and game on any situation
Ha that I suspected but I'm the same way. I wanted to finish what I was in the middle of. Mind you there was no sleep mode on my Sega. At least with the emulators you can save state now.
Every console does now tbf
Switch is so beyond long in the tooth at this point. Frankly, I couldn’t believe they released the OLED version with a straight face. Literally no performance improvements and still the same drift-prone janky joycons. They had the stones to brag about adding an ethernet port lol
I did updated her Joycon sticks. I couldn't believe how bad the drift was with both sets of her joysticks. She was just living with it and never said anything. That would have driven me crazy.
It was good I did the mod as one of the batteries had become swollen and I replaced them too. I can't believe they are still releasing controllers with the same issues. At least the the mod I did removes that issue completely.
Seems like going back to the N64 joysticks just don't last for them.
