You got banned for your own reasons, your failed to attempt to discredit and smear someone else valid question. Even after showing you that his question was more than okay you refused to accept it, down-voted without valid argument and even in advance tried to bring the entire thread down by reporting it.
In retro perspective
My choice was correct. I banned all others now who abused the report function, without any legit reason just to troll me and the community.
Have a good day, you ban will now be indefinitely.
Ah yes, the good old "jUsT asKiNg qUEstiOns"... Has never been associated with trolling/(click)bait and was always a start of a good discussion.

Ah yes the good old racist stereotypes you pin on others. People are allowed to ask questions, if you like it or not, happens in asklemmy, linux etc communities all the time and they do not get banned because of this.
It is part of community behavior which is normal and allowed.
For a meaningful discussion it needs a balance between questions and answers. Hiding behind questions because you do not have answers (i.e. evidence) is rubbish IMO. Why post something if you have nothing to say?
Also, no one said anything about racist stereotypes... sorry to hear the image resonates with you.
I am not involving myself into this whole stuff too much, but this line sounds really dystopian.
Snowden warned against that attitude.
post as opposed to comment. But I get what you are saying..
