Because there is always some dipshit who would pay for it.
Where are these dumbasses located? I got a 500 pack of zip ties and a mortgage to pay off.
Keep in mind the bracelets aren't actually zip ties, they are bracelets (which can be easily removed and clip) that look like a zip tie.
They also are likely thicker and made of higher grade plastic suitable for skin contact, and likely have less sharp edges.
Still not worth $800 but there's definitely more nuance to it than just a zip tie you'd buy at home depot.
It isn't plastic, it's made from brass or other metals. So instead of being 100x the acceptable price, it's closer to 10x the acceptable price.
