I don't have too much to say about Chained Soldier. As far as the anime goes, it wasn't really too special in either its action or its ecchi. I think that the story and the world was interesting, but the execution of telling that story was a bit lackluster.

At the behest of some fans of the series, I have checked out the manga (only the beginning portion so far), and I have liked that a lot more. The artwork in the manga is pretty great and the action is illustrated very well. If you are interested in the story, I would give that a go.

There is a season 2 confirmed for the anime, so hopefully they can step things up so that the execution can match up with the story they are trying to tell. No date yet for season 2 though, so I will likely just continue with the manga in the meantime.
