Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Sure, but how Fb intends to use VR to make money is what's interesting.
Here I thought it was just because Robert Scoble keeps telling the world that it's the next big thing that everyone wants…
presumably for targeting purposes, to creep into people's minds for the ultimate manipulation of perception
I've wondered about this myself. I think they're just looking for new frontiers of social experiences over the internet. We still don't have good VR. When I tried it recently it was still jerky, low resolution, with uninteresting content and causing headaches after two mins. But these are all hardware issues and I expect that at some point the hardware will be good enough at a low enough cost to produce a decent user experience.
