I've been missing really fast paced shooters, and Apex Legends has seemed pretty promising on that front. I actually already downloaded it in preparation, but I assume I can't even join the training area yet.

- 3: No untagged game spoilers. If the game was recently released or not released at all yet, use the Spoiler tag (the little ⚠️ button) in the body text, and avoid typing spoilers in the title. It should also be avoided to openly talk about major story spoilers, even in old games.
I already play all of the games I'm hyped to play.
Most of the EAC games are first person shooters with a toxic fanbase.
Mostly some nice coop games that for some stupid reason had AC enabled before.
I am one of the few people who enjoys playing SMITE with friends lol
Also it would be fun to get back into Fall Guys. I had a lot of fun with that in season 1 before they put in EAC.
Right now I'm only playing Genshin Impact (currently in a GPU passthrough setup), and I'm not sure if Genshin uses EAC/BattleEye. I think they use their own anti-cheat software. So I don't even know if this game is/will be supported. 🤷
AFAIK Genshin Impact uses one of the worst rootkit kernel level spyware in existence, which will probably never be supported under Wine/Proton.
Mh. I'm reassuring myself since there's the Steam Deck, and since it's a "mainstream" console, surely there will be some way to play it without installing Windows. But I doubt it.
