Specifically, you might be interested in the Wiz lightbulbs, CO2 sensor data, and GPS videos. If you're unfamiliar with plan9 there are quite a few introductory videos covering its ~~improvements~~, erm, differences over UNIX and Linux.
I've heard a little bit about Plan 9 but am surprised to see it in that situation. Would it be due to the simplicity and usefulness in distributed computing when compared to UNIX-like OSs, or another reason?
