Until game companies are willing to admit that good AAA games require actual long term investment I see this happening more. For me it's bioware/ea, who knows that they are sitting on a gold mine with dragon age and mass effect up, but continue to cut budgets and resources for those projects.

If they actually had real investment all of these franchises wouldn't have lapped and we'd have nee games regularly and they'd have a nice profit off of them.

Instead they keep cutting investment and now are all shocked Pikachu that the franchise they bought isn't just printing money for them by simply owning it
