It's nowhere near as cool when your glass grapes are made in a modern factory. We'd probably go nuts if we saw these on a table in the 19th century
That's something that's always stuck out to me in regards to various artefacts -- the Chinese and other Asian cultures seem to use a lot more gemstones/minerals compared to Western/Greek/Roman-based using lots of heavy metals (gold, silver, copper etc).
