I just bought the down for it all men’s jacket in Size M yesterday for myself and i did try on the women’s one but it really was tight around my stomach area and chest and I like a loose fit to put a shirt on underneath but I can’t help but like feel like I just don’t look like the models wearing the women’s down for it all jacket and so I went for the men’s and It’s comfier, has a double zipper! I started looking at the men’s clothes and some of the stuff looks comfier so does anyone else by stuff from the men’s? Like I hate a tight fitting shirt around my chest / armpits (love a loose baggy tee) but all the women’s ones seem to be tighter (minus all yours tee, I know that).

Yes, Steady States for the oversized cozy look. They are softer than scubas.

I can’t wear any of the scubas because the sleeves are too short. I keep meaning to try mens but haven’t loved any of the colors yet.

Yessss for joggers and sweats especially! I’m 5’10” and all legs. Literally the only ones that don’t look like floods. Also lounge sweatshirts are way cozier.

As a tall person with a long torso, men's shirts have been my go to for ages! Especially with the Team Canada line. I find the love shirts are too short on my torso, and the sleeves aren't that long. The men's line is a better fit length wise, and it's a little looser, so it's more comfortable to wear. Men's shorts are hit or miss for me.

I wear a men's down puffer as well. The women's one barely hit my hips in the regular fit, but the men's one covers my butt and the sleeves are long enough for me to cover my hands without gloves.

I buy men's coats/jackets regularly, since a lot of stores don't carry tall women's sizes. I'm average height for a male where I am, so the most I have to size for is my hips. Shirts/stretchy pants I'm a medium, but for coats I'm usually a large.

Thank you so much! I was looking at the Team Canada mens line bcuz I wasn’t impressed that much w the womens line. I don’t mind the Love shirts but I find that it’s too tight around my chest for my liking. I got the women’s puffer in reg length and long but would not have thought to look at the men’s! I actually used North Faces winter long coat in -40° bcuz imo the lulu one wasn’t warm enough for me

A while back a guy friend actually recommended I try the men’s joggers as I felt the women’s would be too form fitting and I’ve been reaching for men’s items since. Especially with every women’s item being so cropped right now. I love the men’s metal vent tech short and long sleeve, metal vent tech half zip, and surge warm half zip. I want to check out some of their shorts. Some women have posted try ons in this sub and they look fab!

I’m literally eyeing the metal vent tech half zip for myself too because I like a looser fit but I like the swiftly stuff because I also sweat so much

I for one am waiting for that crop trend to fade away!

one of my favourite pairs of lulu joggers are the men’s City Sweats, they just seem to fit better than some of the women’s more form fitting joggers (I’m thinking of ready to rulu). not super baggy but not skin tight :)

What's mine is mine and what's my husband's is also mine. 🙃

But for real, yes. I'm an oversized shirt (men's metalvent) and biker shorts (align 6 in) kinda gal. I love looser fitting clothing so men's is where it's at. The drysence (?) Hoodie is a fav and even pace breaker 5 ins are super comfy lounge wear.

I wore my men's puffer all last winter (I'm in Toronto), and I once brought it to a cabin trip, where the weather was -50°C with windchill. I was at a cabin with some family, and that puffer kept me warm when we walked along a frozen beach! Don't do this, it as brutal weather wise, but gorgeous! We were walking around these amazing frozen waves!

I can't handle a long coat, because I walk fast and I find myself tripping over my own feet because the bottom of the coat restricts my movement. My cousin calls the side zips on her long coat her "speed zips" and that always makes me laugh. Maybe this year is the year I actually give in and get a longer puffer...🤔

aahhh hello I am in Niagara haha so I know what you’re talking about. I was talking abt the Calgary wind cuz that’s where I went for grad school. But walking on a frozen beach kinda sounds nice! My issue is I heat up like a furnace, so I was always like a long coat isn’t for me bcuz like I can barely tolerate a normal coat (flew home in a hoodie in -36°) but for the Calgary wind it was deffs worth it for walking across campus and throughout downtown. My mom uses my black long lulu coat and my dog pulled her and she fell but the coat apparently had some decent padding and she said it wasn’t too painful 🫢 so long coats have other benefits if that makes a difference 😂😂😂

Hi neighbour! I lived in Niagara for 3 years! I was up in St.Catharines! The wind off the falls is no joke 😭😭

I'm perpetually cold, but I can overheat easily. I'm also that looney toon walking around in -15 with my coat open and a hoodie 😂

I had an older long lulu coat and hated it. The zipper stuck constantly (and is now kind of broken? It's hard to explain), and it was just a pain to wear because it had only 2 pockets. I might get a super puff this year. I just picked up a men's parka from my work for my heavy coat!

I'm sized out on a lot of women's items unfortunately so it has crossed my mind...like a vest for example. I would love to own a LLL vest and I'm not a fan of the seasonal colors that came out in women's size 20 (lilac and light aqua). I'm not sure how men's sizes would work with my wide hips though (48.5") so that's the only reason I haven't tried anything yet. That and, I don't have a store nearby to try, so I'd have to order/return which I hate doing.

I did order a men's size XL vest in another brand, because they didn't have a plus size option in women's styles and it does fit albeit, it does become a little tighter than I'd like at the hips when zipped.

Curious to hear what others have to say and their experiences in wearing mens LL!

I started shopping men's about a year ago. The arms of the short sleeve tees are longer and fit better. Things are longer and more forgiving when I just want to move freely. I love the women's lines but I don't always want clingy, skin tight, cropped clothes. I've got drysense and metal vent tees and hoodies for running. The surge half zips are awesome for colder weather run and less form fitting than it's rulu run tops. City sweat hoodies are more roomy and cozy. I stopped shopping the website by filtering women's and men's and now shop by color, fabric, and sport. Even the men's blazer fits me better. I wear a 10 or 12 in women's and mostly medium sometimes large in men's.

Send this! I borrowed my boyfriends Lulu shirts so frequently I just started buying my own. They are long and a lot have a curved bottom edge so they go over your bum. I like wearing them hiking with leggings - just feel more comfortable not having everything be so tight all the time. And I feel like for an oversized look they look better than going up in women’s sizing.

Okay this is so helpful! Thank you! Ya when I workout I prefer loose and baggy tees w maybe a tight short but also since my boobs are big sometimes the length of the tees are longer but the chest isn’t big enough for me. I saw a hoodie at lulu in mens and it looked comfier too. I have a tummy right now and don’t feel confident in cropped tops / tight tops. I am looking for more tops and the mens look like they’d be more up my alley than the women’s cuz a lot of the women’s running tops are too tight in the chest for my comfort

Yes! I like the longer short sleeves and longer body length (as in, not cropped). I just got a men's jersey t-shirt on WMTM, and it is perfect. I also love the men's Steady State line and Pace Breaker unlined shorts.

I should add that men's tank tops/sleeveless tops do not work because of my 34DD chest. They fit fine, but pull the armhole forward and look silly.

For trail running, I wanted loose fitting, lightweight shorts, with a long inseam. I could never find these types of shorts for women so I got the men's Pace Breaker Linerless Short 7" and they are a dream.

Interesting conversation going on here. I think that for the most part, most of LLL stuff can be and should be simply labeled as unisex. Obvious exceptions would be articles like bras.

it’s also interesting that a lot of the commentary is about looser clothes, hence the draw towards the men’s line. For me, it’s the opposite (guy by the way). Besides the fact that I generally find the women’s line superior, I prefer the closer fitting articles for my yoga, Pilates, and running. Because of that, I’ve got a lot of and wear the women’s leggings and tanks (aligns). For the tops, it’s annoying when the men’s tops flow all over the place - especially with downward facing poses. The align tanks solved all of that for me.

Great read through all the comments!
