I just bought the down for it all men’s jacket in Size M yesterday for myself and i did try on the women’s one but it really was tight around my stomach area and chest and I like a loose fit to put a shirt on underneath but I can’t help but like feel like I just don’t look like the models wearing the women’s down for it all jacket and so I went for the men’s and It’s comfier, has a double zipper! I started looking at the men’s clothes and some of the stuff looks comfier so does anyone else by stuff from the men’s? Like I hate a tight fitting shirt around my chest / armpits (love a loose baggy tee) but all the women’s ones seem to be tighter (minus all yours tee, I know that).

I'm very petite all around and so I probably wouldn't fit most men's stuff but I LOVE the men's alpaca crew neck I got on wmtm a couple months ago!

The fit (in xs) is amazing, even better than a women's oversized sweater on me for some reason (normally oversized sweaters are too bulky around my shoulders and upper arms).

It caught my eye because one of their female models was wearing it on the site. I would definitely check out the men's section again!

Yes, Steady States for the oversized cozy look. They are softer than scubas.

I started shopping men's about a year ago. The arms of the short sleeve tees are longer and fit better. Things are longer and more forgiving when I just want to move freely. I love the women's lines but I don't always want clingy, skin tight, cropped clothes. I've got drysense and metal vent tees and hoodies for running. The surge half zips are awesome for colder weather run and less form fitting than it's rulu run tops. City sweat hoodies are more roomy and cozy. I stopped shopping the website by filtering women's and men's and now shop by color, fabric, and sport. Even the men's blazer fits me better. I wear a 10 or 12 in women's and mostly medium sometimes large in men's.

Okay this is so helpful! Thank you! Ya when I workout I prefer loose and baggy tees w maybe a tight short but also since my boobs are big sometimes the length of the tees are longer but the chest isn’t big enough for me. I saw a hoodie at lulu in mens and it looked comfier too. I have a tummy right now and don’t feel confident in cropped tops / tight tops. I am looking for more tops and the mens look like they’d be more up my alley than the women’s cuz a lot of the women’s running tops are too tight in the chest for my comfort

Long torso 5’9 athletic / slim lady here. With the recent trend of young young children (I saw a 9 year old - talking about 4th grade having her mom help her with buying 2’s in align leggings), I just hate the fit of the women’s clothing these days.

A coworker told me that her 75 lb child wanted only Lulu for her birthday. 😡

I’ve moved over to the men’s section for jackets, joggers, and now contemplating shorts.

I don’t like color (neutrals girlie or jewel tones only) so I love the men’s section. Men’s S generally works for me - size women’s 6 - 8 for loose fitting bottoms - former 4 in tops but they’re too short now due to the cropping and catering to actual children.

Anyone able to give me deets on the fit of various men’s shorts? Small waist thicker hip /booty so unclear how it will work for me

The men’s stuff is all longer too. Everything is so cropped in the women’s section..

one of my favourite pairs of lulu joggers are the men’s City Sweats, they just seem to fit better than some of the women’s more form fitting joggers (I’m thinking of ready to rulu). not super baggy but not skin tight :)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

ya if I want a jogger, I don’t want it to be form fitting a lot. I had the ready to rulu and they were okay, but imo nothing special, I have small legs too so I have to get everything in a cropped version too. I was looking at the adapted state joggers too but they also look to be a little tighter

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yessss for joggers and sweats especially! I’m 5’10” and all legs. Literally the only ones that don’t look like floods. Also lounge sweatshirts are way cozier.

Their lounge hoodies look soooo comfy too

I can't make men's stuff work. Tops end up too tight around my butt, and arms are too long. Pants have way too much excess space in the crotch. I guess it really depends on your individual body shape. I'm 5'2 and pear shaped, so it makes sense that things wouldn't fit me well.

As a fat person, having access to men’s clothing is very nice. Unfortunately not all of us have a snatched waist and the women’s cuts tend to have narrower waists. I got a men’s cross chill jacket because it didn’t suffocate me in the middle, the women’s one did

As a tall person with a long torso, men's shirts have been my go to for ages! Especially with the Team Canada line. I find the love shirts are too short on my torso, and the sleeves aren't that long. The men's line is a better fit length wise, and it's a little looser, so it's more comfortable to wear. Men's shorts are hit or miss for me.

I wear a men's down puffer as well. The women's one barely hit my hips in the regular fit, but the men's one covers my butt and the sleeves are long enough for me to cover my hands without gloves.

I buy men's coats/jackets regularly, since a lot of stores don't carry tall women's sizes. I'm average height for a male where I am, so the most I have to size for is my hips. Shirts/stretchy pants I'm a medium, but for coats I'm usually a large.

Interesting conversation going on here. I think that for the most part, most of LLL stuff can be and should be simply labeled as unisex. Obvious exceptions would be articles like bras.

it’s also interesting that a lot of the commentary is about looser clothes, hence the draw towards the men’s line. For me, it’s the opposite (guy by the way). Besides the fact that I generally find the women’s line superior, I prefer the closer fitting articles for my yoga, Pilates, and running. Because of that, I’ve got a lot of and wear the women’s leggings and tanks (aligns). For the tops, it’s annoying when the men’s tops flow all over the place - especially with downward facing poses. The align tanks solved all of that for me.

Great read through all the comments!

I like the leggings! But I just sweat so much in my chest area and pits that I don’t like the feeling of damp sweaty clothing clinging to me . I feel restricted. Plus I’m not super confident in my tummy area so I like that baggy tees hide that but obvs when I was at my skinniest I would wear the tighter tops confidently but I don’t like when they’re tight around my muffin top area

My body changed a lot due to hormonal changes. Women in mid to late 40s can all relate. I've had a hard time adjusting to my new body and this trend of long line bras as shirts ain't it for me. I need to feel comfortable so I can train like the athlete I know I am without yanking sleeves down and worrying about covering my tummy.

Ya I mean my dad just said “well u know what to do to get that hour glass shape” and I’m like I phsycially don’t know if I can get that. Like I’m not obese but I don’t have gorgeous long legs and arms. I have a long torso. And so I want to be able to lift my arms up like I would in volleyball and not worry abt ppl looking at my stomach I’m working on it !!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I bet you're close to perfect the way you are. We are our own harshest critics. Love your body and what it does for you and wear clothes that don't distract you from living your best life. ❤️

Ya like I’ve gained weight since grad school and I rlly don’t have a lot of time to myself I’m taking care of my dad who has cancer and my parents are both 75 and so I do a lot of work around the house and in terms of managing apts and stuff but then ofc we don’t get good news abt my dads health and I find it so hard to even try and keep my atttitude positive. I’ve always had body issues cuz my parents liked how I looked when I was thin so they always tell me to just go back to that weight but like it’s not that easy? And my weight fluctuates too it’s just hard I don’t even bother going in store anymore i just order online and return in store
