I see a lot of people expressing a lot of opinion, given some of the arguments posted, I'm curious to ask, is there many people that have worked in IT to understand how system configurations work for the sake of privacy?

For example when someone posts asking how to maintain full privacy while using Facebook, that is clearly someone that has never had a job in tech. So I'm asking is there people here that have been sysadmins, ran servers, setup networks with remote login capabilities?

I've worked in tech for different companies in various positions plus engaging with the public in my tech or IT role and maintaining different operating syatems, more than only Linux and Windows.
