I still remember my first trade 25+ years ago. A Pikachu for my friend's Rhyhorn. Holo cards are still cool to me, I like when games have cards with holo text, sometimes with a 3d parallax scene... and it's probably because of Pokemon cards.

Nah. The first week of MTG when we were all learning and the entire town only had one box of cards or so because the local comic guy didn't know how they'd do.

I was part of the Pokemon League for the TCG, and while I didn't make any lifelong friends, it was still a deeply fond memory for me.
