Okay, make it make sense:

I got out to my car this morning and found it a little... Off. As I approach, I unplug the car and go to open the door, the interior lights didn't turn on like they should, but as I look to inspect, I see my glove box is wide open. Oh. This again.

Quick check, in the dark, to see if my windows are broken, no break, that's good! I must have forgot to lock my doors after groceries the previous day, hands full, my bad. I sit down and start the car and turn my lights on to take a look around. A grocery bag sitting on my seat, sorta slumped over, but nothing looks damaged. Twist my back around to check the back seats, nothing out of place, but my car manual sitting on the floor back there, grab it and place it in the glove box still ajar. My attention goes back to the grocery bag and discover the contents of all my consoles!

This is weird, not the first time it's happened to me, but weird. I don't get it. They went through every nook and cranny within my car and left it all on the passenger seat. Not only did they take nothing, they plugged my car in!

Now, if only I could get them to brush the thing off on the snowy days!

-edit for others concerns:-

I didn't keep my garage door opener or registration info in the car for similar reasons, papers in my coat and opener is somewhere in my house placed in a location "for safe keeping" and forever to be lost until the day I've replaced it for being lost.
