POE1 is a "finished" game. It needs updates to fill its live service model, and to keep players engaged, but its core bugs are fixed, its core systems are working, etc.

POE2 is early access. It is raw, it will be raw for a reasonably long time. Even if entire GGG studio was put to work on it, it would still be raw for many, many months (not because POE2 bad, but because thats what it means to be early access).

Outside of something being literally on fire, i dont think it is a good idea to cannibalise your existing finished product (POE1) to try and fix your unfinished one (POE2).

I dont think many players here would even demand a big or complicated 3.26 patch. There doesnt have to be too many patch notes. There doesnt have to be a massive league mechanic like Sanctum. Just give us something new (or OLD - legacy mechanics would be fun to return to) to play and blast maps with, as im pretty sure vast majority are just too tired of Settlers at this point.

I understand they think future lies with POE2, i just think cannibalising POE1 staff for it was not a good idea. Thats just my 2 cents.

I am glad we got some news, and im hoping they are able to work out the stuff they have trouble with.
