I've been don't this as an American for years.
Why doesn't the US test baby car seats for side impacts but the EU does?
Why does the US allow Teflon pans but the EU doesn't?
Why does the the US not federally regulate internet privacy in meaningful ways but the EU has GDPR?
The answer for all these is that the EU keeps its citizens safe while the US keeps its billionaires safe.
Usually gets you a better experience too, albeit with some getting used to
the third one is actual power
