Rad. But the BYD hatch base model was offered for $30k here.
Electric Vehicles
Overview:
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Non-USA countries get the good, cheap EVs. As an Aussie living in the USA, I get jealous of the wider range of cars available in Australia.
The cheapest EVs available in the USA are probably the Nissan Leaf or Chevy Bolt, which are not as good as the BYD or MG EVs, while costing way more (around US$30k or AU$47k not including tax or fees).
The USA has a 100% duty on Chinese cars, so none of the Chinese manufacturers sell in the USA as it wouldn't be cost effective. Australia no longer has a local car industry to protect, so I think there's very little duty or tariffs (if any) on Chinese EVs.
Fwiw, I've only heard bad things about MG s.
I'm also really happy with my MG4
I am really happy with my MG4.
My father in law has an MG and loves it. Not sure what model but it's fully electric.
Have a peek at their privacy policy if you're considering BYD.
Which electric car manufacturer doesn't have a dogshit privacy policy? Last report I saw they were all garbage.
Outside of the United Union of Tariffs this car is way overpriced
But how easy is it to steal?
The answer will shock you!
FWIW, the vulnerability was only in keyed vehicles. I highly doubt the EV comes without keyless.
