If you browse any pet supply or specialty store, you'll probably discover a variety of catnip toys. Catnip can rekindle your cat's kitten-like behavior or perhaps put them to sleep. But what exactly is catnip, and why do certain cats respond to it so violently?

Two of our cats don't care about catnip at all, while the other two love it.
