Im working up the courage to. Ill never go back, but it is also hard to delete that much history just for a statement

I deleted all my comments and posts on my main (12 yr) and alt (4 yr) accounts, and also fully deleted my alt. I'm also finding it hard to fully deleted my main as of now, so I'm keeping it to keep an eye on the collapse of everything. Once baconreader stops working I'll delete my account for good, and I've already hidden the app on my phone so I can't easily open it anymore (and put Lemmy in it's place).

No, there's too many little niche subreddits that lemmy doesn't even come close to replicating. I have been using the official reddit app for the better part of a year so I'm not personally affected by the ban on 3rd party apps.
